Raj Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Based on what I've seen when he played for Atalanta against Inter – strong, physical and knows how to defend. A bit reckless at times. And the name: Ben Aloo (as in Bombay Aloo) Ann (as in the female name) Easy! Cheers pal.I might print off a few thousand of these to help the city faithful with the name!!!
Deucalion Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I wouldn't have thought Ben was a common Tunisian first name?
Captain... Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/457226/New-Leicester-signing-didn-t-want-leave-Atalanta-left-tears he came 'Against his wishes'....... Daily star you really are a shit newspaper! Awful to use against his wishes in the tag line. It wasn't against his wishes, he could have said no. All it means he was sad to leave the club but understands why Atalanta would sell at that price. I'm sure he is going to be ok earning more money in a higher profile league.

jonah Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Old Ben Kanobe? Now there,s a name i havnt heard in a long while .......
EnderbyFox Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 That's written by the f**king ostrich! Ian Baker has the most circular face I've ever seen
Raw Dykes Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I always thought the inclusion of a "Ben" in a (North) African family name meant part of some kind of (lesser) royalty, but I might be mistaken. Just as the "De" in Belgium or Dutch names or the "Von" in the German-speaking world. So that'd be Ben-Alou-Ane. "De" means "of", doesn't it? So it's like the "O'" part of Irish surnames. Whether "De" was reserved for royal names, I don't know.
Collymore Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/573983/EXCLUSIVE-Express-Ian-Baker-reaction-Leicester-Nigel-Pearson-attack Do you know what, the more i watch this the more I love NP. Baker is obviously trying to get his own back at the club. NP pressed the "storm out" button too!

weller54 Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 have to say..nige does come across as a bellend in this... ...That's because HE IS!!
Foxhateram Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 ...That's because HE IS!!Are you silly or very stupid? I think you are stupid. Do you have your head in the sand? Are you flexible enough to get your head in the sand? Maybe Pearson should have directed his statements to people like you! Why has his video been dragged back up? The bloke has given us the most successful few seasons for over a decade and you still have the tenacity to Diss him in this way!? Madness. In this video he was sticking up for his players who despite being bottom were playing great football. What you all seem to have forgotten is it is this never say die attitude that Pearson himself installed, that kept us up and fighting till the end! According to that idiot of a journalist our season was fading away at that point, Pearson simply put him straight, and proved him darn wrong as well!.
Rushden fox Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 ...a long time. Was that....... on a far away planet

ronnup Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 “I left the training camp in tears on Friday, because I really care for everyone. I send a huge embrace to all my teammates and fans. “I didn’t want to leave Atalanta and would gladly have stayed, but an offer of €8m is a lot for a club like Atalanta. “I love this side so much that I accepted and hope with all my heart that my departure will help the directors make my beloved Atalanta even stronger. “I made this decision by thinking of what was best for Atalanta. One day I will return to Bergamo, be certain of it.” The transfer fee was reportedly €7m, but Benalouane insists it stands at €8m including bonuses (around £5.6m). It reads like he's desperate to stay but wants to do what's best for the club, BUT, hes off. He's just pandering to the crowd, Italians love that stuff.

Actually, this was the moment I thought " the end of a troubled relationship with a game girl" He went too far.

Atalanta must be really nice.
Foxhateram Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I always liked nigel..and wished he was still here...but it does not blind me to his errors of failings...that interview was embarrassing...but that is what pressure does to logic. No logic lost here. The reporter asked a stupid question in an even more offensive way. He deserved what he got. Fighting spirit is what kept us up. I wold not say this was a mistake. It was a statement of intent towards everyone who doubted this team. We should have supported the interview whole heartedly. Anyway it's over and it's gone. Time to move on. Back to the signing. Not sure we need a cb really. Huth, Moore, Was, Morgan and the backup of Chillwell and potentially De leat. Seems a bit much to buy another cb.
Babylon Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 The reporter asked a stupid question in an even more offensive way. There was nothing wrong with the question or the way he said it. Pearson overreacted for whatever reason, hence the apology.
Finnegan Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I don't know why you're arguing over his name, if he signs for Leicester we all know he'll just be "Benneh."

Seems a bit much to buy another cb. I know this is not the place to bring this up, but the reporter didn't ask a stupid question, he asked a valid question, but Pearson, who was in a weird mood anyway, took him to task for doing no more than question him. I will put the question that Ian Baker asked Pearson to you: What criticism? What unfair and unjust criticism had been levelled at the players from the press? Most papers and reports I read mirrored what most fans said, we generally played well and were unlucky to not get anything from a lot of games. Some games we were described as toothless, mostly when playing the diamond formation, and that criticism was mainly at the manager. Our players were not heavily criticised, when compare how some teams get ripped to shreds on MOTD, Newcastle for example, Sunderland after the 8-0. It was a genuine question and a ridiculous and bizarre overreaction from Pearson. The fact he even apologised for it proves that even he thinks you are wrong.

FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 i love google translate more than chips: From the words of Benalouane then it arrives the confirmation of the amount collected by the Goddess (8 million euro in total) and we understand perfectly how the operation has never been hampered by the player. For now he is preparing for a new adventure in the Premier League with a major contract.
Wymsey Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I don't know why you're arguing over his name, if he signs for Leicester we all know he'll just be "Benneh." Is that Mrs. Marsh in your pic? Still unsure over this signing; just really know whether he's as good as what we've got, and whether he'll being anything extra.
