Going in a gay pub once doesn't make thinking 'nigger' or 'coon' are tolerable, any more acceptable.

Just from that you can tell you're a sad, sad old man.[/quote

Hope he hovered ,no a bloke what got aids sitting on a toilet in the Dover csstle

The percentage of people on here who wanted young Pearson and co sacked a few weeks ago was extremely high.

In fact, two of the three never made a racist comment.

Amazing when it is a bigger asset people's views suddenly change.

Not so keen to hang this one out to dry I see.

The three youth team players were not worth anything, so get rid.

Vardy is an asset, if the owners did feel that strongly about the situation, why would you sack him for another club to pick up for free? It would be idiotic.

He's a £10m asset, at worst they would sell him if they were really that upset by the whole incident.

He's going nowhere though.

What do you know...the sun is pushing the 'Ethics' barriers again.

Given the papers reputation, it is far too much of a coincidence that this story has only just been released after the first game of the season, after a decent performance and great result.

What does it take to receive a ban on this forum?

I still cannot believe I've been banned for posting 'argumentative' stuff, every so often, whilst some of in this very thread remains and is not deleted.

Never saw 'jap' as being particularly racist myself.guess I'll have to be carted off to the re-education camp with other posters here.

Ultimately this is a storm in a tea cup and will be forgotten very quickly.

I got banned for saying Michael owen is inappropriate with his horses yet saying the n-word is acceptable. Crazy justifications.

The Sun should be made to apologise for all their comments (headlines) about Jap/Japs it is really two faced of them, but wouldn't expect anything else from a tinpot paper. Perhaps we should be like Liverpool and refuse to buy it. Not that I do

Utter bollocks. The two incidents aren't even on the same scale. Not even close. The Thailand incident involved three lads deliberately humiliating prostitutes by filming and sharing it, as well as using seriously racist language just for a laugh. They all thought it was funny. All this whilst on an all expenses paid work related trip as guests of our Thai owners, in their own country. Cant really get much lower or disrespectful.

This Vardy incident is a drunken idiot using one word which people cant even decide if it is racist or not. We know incredibly little about it, or whether he even said Jap. Yes he was a twat and needs a bollocking and an education, but that's enough.

Why people are comparing these i have no idea!

Slightly different scenario, seeing as the 'victim' in question didn't have Vardy's cock in his mouth at the time

If saying jap is now considered a crime, we are doomed! Too many people live in a different world to us that live in the real world.

Anyway I'm off to the local chinky for a take away, oh sh1t, I bet that's racist as well!!

You mean someone that holds an opinion that does not accord with your own?

No, I mean someone who is completely and utterly off their rocker - like the people who claim cambiasso was actually the manager for the final 9 games, or that there's no chance pearson could have slowly learnt like he did in the championship because the "premiership isn't the championship derp de derp de diddly derp".

People are missing the point with the apology. Its not an admission of guilt of racism.

If he apologises this whole nonsense will blow over.

If he denys it it carrys on.

If he says nothing it carrys on.

Besides, the act of doctoring a tape bought off a casino to try and stitch up a player the day after he has scored is more despicable than using what is NOT a racist term (if he even did use it).

If its a racist term why have The Sun been using it?

It is a racist term though, it was a massively derogatory term used by the americans towards the japanese in WWII; given Vardy isn't a middle age american, it'd be fair to assume Vardy was ignorant of that and just thought it was like Brit, Aussie or Swede (if he even said it, and the tap is inconclusive); but you're right to say the sun haven't exactly coated themselves in glory.

Read back 20 odd pages, you'll find the debate.

I also noticed one or two members suggesting that, there weren't many posts, but as ridiculous as it may be, they are nonetheless entitled to their opinion.

To return to the point being made, are you justifying the language that you used or do you accept that it is inappropriate and that disablist terminology should similarly be condemned?

I insult people who deserve to be insulted,

Over the internet and anonymously from behind a keyboard, using disablist abuse - brave lad.

agreed col, i got banned for calling finnegan a welsh nob head and then later for posting a woman in a bikini yet you can be as racist as you bloody well like!

in fact pretty sure una got banned for saying schlupp reminded him of ashley cole because someone deemed that racist lol, yet DT can use any word he wants and we just roll with it. strange.

I'm more worried about what's being held back from the tape. Whenever these things come out in the press with accompanying video, there's always a follow up that they've held back to keep up the interest in the story.

i can't breathe

KING PRISON STADIUM im done im dead how did i miss that oh man time for bed

And too many people don't understand what it is to have racist comments and slurs made against them. The word Jap was made many, timesat Okazaki already in pre season friendlies not good. Some of you need to to move on the times. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and it was everywhere at the time. Why should we take it now? its 2015 people. Not acceptable.  In fact im disgusted at some of the posters on this thread

I remember the sun's banner headline SACK THE SWEDE referring to Erikson as England manager.

fvcking hypocrites.

Let's have a Merseyside style sun boycott.

This.

I got banned for that and then banned for saying Nigel called James an ostrich during the sex tape.
