katieakita Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I'm gonna throw an unpopular opinion out there. I'm quite disappointed in Jamie's performance. He's out of position and in a situation that doesn't suit him but at this level he needs the cojones to go make something for himself. I'm not seeing the movement and energy I see from him for Leicester. He can have as much movement and energy as you like they just won't pass him the ball.
Izzy Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Well that was two hours of my life I'll never get back
Richmondfox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I'm gonna throw an unpopular opinion out there. I'm quite disappointed in Jamie's performance. He's out of position and in a situation that doesn't suit him but at this level he needs the cojones to go make something for himself. I'm not seeing the movement and energy I see from him for Leicester. Not the performance I was hoping. This is because Jamie's game is based on the ball being passed to him or running onto something. Vardy was open unmarked in front of Barkley and he stopped and passed the ball back. Plenty of times Shaw had the ball and passed back to the defence rather than forward to Vardy, same with Delph who would square the ball all the time.
Matt Posted 5 September 2015 Author Posted 5 September 2015 **** England. Clique-y bastards. That was very disappointing. Vardy looked lost towards the end, not bothered and tbh I couldn't blame him, no-one wanted to pass to him. Did anyone pick up on Ian Wright's comments before the match? He said something like he had noticed Vardy didn't seem very accepted or part of the group.
Lionheart10 Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 has Shaw passed to Vardy once today? No Man Utd. player will pass to Vardy after he tore them a new one last year!
J.Lisemore Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Back to playing for a proper team next week Vards, no worries.
blueharmie Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Hm... Why didn't he run around more like he does for us. Not comfortable. England are shit anyway.
Sir Shep Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 6 nil and I thought the game was pretty dire! Felt for Vardy but who gives a toss if he keeps playing well for city.
bluesbrothers Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Shaw was so negative it was unreal. Don't remember one forward pass from him.Vardy did well enough with limited opportunities. Think Roy will keep playing him.
EnglishOxide Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Hm... Why didn't he run around more like he does for us. Not comfortable. England are shit anyway. Because we had about 80% possession.
Webbo Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Well he didn't shine did he? For all the slagging off Kane got did he made more impact in his cameo than vardy did all night. Vardy might get some game time on tuesday but he'll be lucky to go to France.
dylanlegend Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Vardy played poorly in all fairness. His movement was poor that's why no one passed to him, never manage to shake his marker off. Also, I think he may lack confidence in an England shirt, maybe self-doubt is kicking in? Showed glimpses of why he should play against the bigger teams looked decent when we countered which as we all know is Vardys strength. Wrong game for him to show his best but I think Woy likes him so won't be his last England game.

Grewks Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Hm... Why didn't he run around more like he does for us. Not comfortable. England are shit anyway. Because they didn't have the f*****g ball.
Richmondfox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 At least he came away without an injury, it could've been different when he lost his footing after that first good run of his where he slipped.
bmt Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Decent first half, shite second. I think Shaw passed it to him a couple of times first half, and we looked threatening. Otherwise only Shelvey looked for him at all. Rooney clearly doesn't trust him with the ball. And Walcott came on and did well but was overly greedy when he needn't be once or twice. Vardy's breaks near the end were poor, he needed to have more confidence in himself. Probably pretty hard when half your team mates obviously don't. Other than Vardy, Shelvey looked good. Nothing else of note for me.
samlcfc1 Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 With them having 10/11 players behind the ball most of the time just didn't have any space to run Into down the channels , we were never gonna see the proper vardy today
Webbo Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Because they didn't have the f*****g ball. Who's they ? England must have had 80% possession.
Matt Posted 5 September 2015 Author Posted 5 September 2015 WTF is that on Harry Kane's forehead!!
Richmondfox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Twitter ripping the shit out of Vardy https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&q=jamie%20vardy Who cares, twitter users talking to no one in their unimportant lives, it's the equivalent of shouting at the tv.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Jesus christ what is that thing harry's head is attached to!?!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I have a proper, deep rooted dislike for Phil Jagielka as a footballer when I watch him for England
