Webbo Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 How is he not in a national squad of some sort? Club before someone else's country.
Benji Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Even the way Vardy and Mahrez are playing, Kante is by far my favourite player atm. I can't remember watching a Leicester central midfielder ever being so effortless in winning back the ball. His burst of pace to nip in front of players is delightful - just makes it look so easy.
M0901 Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Reiterating a lot of opinon but man oh man, I can't remember us having a midfielder with his capabilities, being AS good as him. So effortless with not only winning the ball but retaining it, him and Drinky are proving to be a top pairing no doubt Much better than that Schneiderlin chap at United...
Guest Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 How is he not in a national squad of some sort? France has a number of good midfielders, but he'll probably be knocking on the door after Deschamps crashes out of the Euros in his own back yard. Kanté will be in the team in 2016/17
Foxymcoxy Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 I LOVE N'GOLO! This guy is fast becoming my favourite player and this video almost made me do a special wee in my pants! Amazing video. Says a lot about Drinkwaters performance as well that he has so many highlights in a video of Kante.

Kanté will be in the team in 2016/17 Dont know how/why they wouldn't take him already.. lets say France are holding a lead in the last 10 mins and your on the back foot, who do you bring on? Kante he will win the ball back every time from the opponent .
Carl the Llama Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 The crazy aerial backheel tackle isn't in that highlights reel or did I miss it?
lgfualol Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 He is from Mali descent so could just play for them which would be a problem if he's still here when it is the AFCON
FoxSince88 Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 He is brilliant, the fact he drives a Mini Cooper to me shows he isn't one for the spotlight, happy to go about his business quietly
Guest Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 N'Golo has a secret football magnet in the end of his boot. I'm surprised he's not in the top 10 of fastest players too. He comes from nowhere to steal balls.

Babylon Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 He is brilliant, the fact he drives a Mini Cooper to me shows he isn't one for the spotlight, happy to go about his business quietly I'd imagine that's because it's the only car that makes him look lld enough to drive.
Len Finsbury Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 The creative players always get the praise when it comes to performances as it's easier to measure their contribution, but watching that video highlights what a fantastic player he is. He isn't creative, or at least he isn't charged with that task in this team, he isn't really a goal threat, again, not his job but the tackles and lay-offs that he does are something special. He does a very simple job in theory (in the philosophy behind it, not the execution). tackle and then pass it to a more creative player, but he does it so well. So many people think that defending, or at least preventing us from conceding, is purely down to those five players in defence and in goal, but as you can see from that video montage, Kante is breaking up opponents play to actually protect the back four and lifting some of the pressure on those defenders. He deserves as much credit for the tightening up of our defence as that given to the two full backs since they've settled. Fantastic player, and like Babylon said, I've never seen anything like it either. Not to that extent anyway.

LCFC hub Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 probs still has to borrow mr beans mop n brush combo to reach the pedals This!
Guest Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Lovely simplistic way in which he takes the ball off people too. He'd make a brilliant pickpocket.
goose2010 Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 He has a slightly different tackling technique and I think that's what wins him the ball a lot without making fouls. If he is running on the right hand side of the player he tackles with his left foot, which if most players try would foul on their arse. Most would use their right which would involved pivoting their body and therefore getting in the way of the player and most of the time causing a foul, where as Kante just nicks the ball with his left and then moves into position to move clear with the ball. Not sure if that makes sense but just watch the next time he is shoulder to shoulder with a player.
KFS Posted 25 November 2015 Posted 25 November 2015 Out of all of our current top performers, I'd love NGolo to be the one to retire at Leicester. Absolutely love the little guy

dylanlegend Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Anyone would think he's the only scout to ever have found a gem. Look at "gems" he's found for LCFC. Mahrez, Vardy, Kante, Drinky, Fuchs I could go on and on. Imperative we keep him he's an unbelievable head scout and his contribution to our current good form shouldn't be underestimated, probably in fact, the most important factor to our success over the last 2/3 years

Doesn't always get it right either. Good scout, not a god.
Nickfosse Posted 7 December 2015 Posted 7 December 2015 Anyone would think he's the only scout to ever have found a gem.So much has been said by so many In football that recruitment is the key to success. Hanging on to the man so responsible for our recruitment success seems a no-brainer to me. If I was an owner or director of football I'd be making him an offer he can't refuse. As others have said his ability to pick up a succession of gems, never mind the odd one has been remarkable, and at the heart of our success. Put simply, where would we be without Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Vardy etc. all recruited by our scouting Team headed up by Steve Walsh.
