Kante

His passing is a bit inconsistent. He tends to overrun on occasions too.

If he tightens up on those then he really will be top class and easily able to play for a CL side.

Leicester City. :whistle::scarf:

made ten more interceptions than anyone in the league. remarkable considering he barely played in our first four (?) games. he must be part animal or something his knowledge and ability to get to the ball before the ball's even got where he already knew it was going is just rude

It's incredible how he's settled to the prem.

He hasn't yet.

Just wait until he has.

Exactly... Better to win the ball in midfield

which is what some of us were saying last year.

Players just don't go past Kanté.

He's quite literally a ninja, like against Newcastle he won a ball unimaginable to win in the attacking third, I think it was Ulloa who lost it an then ten seconds later he won it back in the defensive third. As someone mentioned he's a human teleport.

Unbelievable jeff

Keep thinking back to the palace game we had a corner and they cleared it and all of a sudden were 2 on 1.... Unfortunately for them that 1 was Kante and he put in an absolute monster of a challenge on bolasie I think it was who ended up flipping over kante and ending up in a pile as kante strolled away with the ball #beastmode

Unbelievable today. One of the best ever Leicester central midfield displays from him and Drinky.

Agree with this, I think the Kante love in so far has been a tad exaggerated. He wins the ball a lot by tackles and interceptions but his quality on the ball could be better.

Against Newcastle though the amount of times he won back the ball for us was just utterly ridiculous and looked as good on the ball as he had done for us. His best game for us so far IMO and I'd be amazed if he doesn't get better and better.

A great buy for us.

His role in the team is to win the ball back and play it to our more creative players, how can his love in be exaggerated if he has been, statistically, the best at doing this in the league despite pretty much missing the first month?

Was in stiches on Saturday.

Every time a Newcastle midfielder got the ball a bloke near me shouted "GET HIM KANTE".... and he did. Every time.

Absolute worldbeater.

I don't think it has been, not when looking at it with regards the assets what you want from a DM. His job is to break up play and lay it off, that's what he's tasked with. So far, he's been truly exceptional in doing those things. His passing isn't 100%, I flagged that in his first game. But I think it's improving, he's keeping it simpler as well which helps.

His game reading is incredible, the amount of times he reads a pass from the opposition and just steps into the path of the ball defies logic sometimes, so does his ability to get a foot in.

Never seen anything like it.

haha as if theres over 5 mins of highlights just of him making tackles. he made a backheeled tackled. and won about 6 or 7 headers, despite being what, 4ft5? 4ft6?

We need to extend his contract right now to about 10 years.
