Benguin Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Here's a question... If you had to choose just one player to have in our team from Kante or cambiasso who would it be? We had Cambiasso, we had a blast, we loved him. Kante time now, who is just as loveable
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 I can't actually put into words how good he is, so I'm just going to say he's the best centre mid in the world. I feel so comfortable watching us play now, I spent all of last season as nervous as anything but when ever we lose the ball now I just think, don't worry they've still got to get past Kante. His tackling ability is absolutely insane. Love the bloke.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 He stopped one break by tackling with a backheel flick. Couple of other times you could see Newcastle players trying to work out how they'd just lost the ball - he just has perfect timing even when someone's running ahead of him. He gave away a couple of "fouls" where I think the ref just thought that nobody could keep making those tackles but they were all fair. And he was quite a threat pushing forward. Love this guy.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Here's a question... If you had to choose just one player to have in our team from Kante or cambiasso who would it be? Do you really need to ask the question? Look at results....
Babylon Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Here's a question... If you had to choose just one player to have in our team from Kante or cambiasso who would it be? Now Kante of course without question, last season with everyone learning this league it's hard to say. Cambiasso's experience helped massively.
Fox92 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Can't explain how good he is. Re that question about, I'd easily have him over Cambiasso.
J.Lisemore Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 One of the best, if not the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League. For all the media coverage Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal players get, Kante would be an upgrade on anything they have. Take Arsenal for instance, Coquelin or Kante... its not even a contest. Oh and £5.6M.
itsaknockeart Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 He's now leading the league in interceptions (nine more than the next best) and is third in tackles. Injuries permitting, he'll be leading both categories soon enough now he starts every game.

Daz93 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 According to WhoScored, Kante made 9 tackles yesterday, more than the entire defence put together (Fuchs 3, Simpson 3, Huth 2, Morgan 0). He's a human shield.

Daz93 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 He made 9 tackles in about the first 20 minutes!Depends what they count as a successful tackle. Still it shows the amount he tackles compared to the defence!
MPH Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Depends what they count as a successful tackle. Still it shows the amount he tackles compared to the defence! Or how little the defense had to tackle with Kante in the side...
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Or how little the defense had to tackle with Kante in the side...Exactly... Better to win the ball in midfield
Daz93 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Or how little the defense had to tackle with Kante in the side...That's pretty much the point I was trying to make.
ronnup Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 I hope he's got a tight and handsome contract because he's not going to be here for long sadly. Genuinely feel he's probably going to end up at Arsenal, or even one of the European big boys.
ARM1968 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 He's good enough. Imagine arsenal with him bossing the midfield.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 He's good enough. Imagine arsenal with him bossing the midfield. He is an elite player... it is as simple as that. Would make even the best better. Big clubs will be looking to cherry pick us in January, I hope and believe we will keep this team together
Len Finsbury Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 It's also worth noting that last season was only his first season in France's top flight so to make that kind of progression in only a few years is admirable. Like Vardy and his meteoric rise, he certainly looks every bit a seasoned top flight footballer.
les-tah Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Apparently he's so good at interceptions the Israeli military want to upgrade their iron dome and use Kante instead to intercept rockets from Palestine.
Richard Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 If he was just a little better with his passing he could be world class - what a fantastic signing he has been
st albans fox Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 If he was just a little better with his passing he could be world class - what a fantastic signing he has been His passing is a bit inconsistent. He tends to overrun on occasions too. If he tightens up on those then he really will be top class and easily able to play for a CL side.
