Kante

Chin up lads CR confirms Shakey and Walsh are about to sign new contracts. Great news. I'm sure Walshy will have a couple of new Kantes in his sights !

I don't wish to criticise the work that the scouts have done. However don't get carried away that the process is infallible - Kramaric, Benlouane and Inler are evidence of that. There are no new Kantes in anyone's sights nor a new Mahrez or Vardy. Players like them don't grow on trees - and everyone's after them.

We've seen that money and big name managers have failed miserably this season for the likes of the Mancs etc.

Leicester's job is to persuade the players that there's something to be gained from remaining with the club - as money doesn't appear to be the critical factor it used to be for us that's not such a problem. The other thing will be persuading talent to come here.

If I were in Kante's delightful little boots I'd be very tempted to stay and see what happened next season.

How do you know that?

If Kante goes, I don't exaggerate when I say this team will look a third of what it does now. He's that important to how we play.

It's imperative we keep him. Of all the players we could lose, he's the one I'd least want to lose.

But it is good news that they are signing new contracts ....    Isn't it  !?!?!

How do you know that?

He doesn't.

Lets have a bit of faith in CR and the owners Col ...     and in the meantime he's playing for us ...   and theres a little bit of unfinished business to attend to.

Keep the faith, people flapped when Cambiasso left.

Who knows what's round the corner, just enjoy the ride.

The guy is making history, if his head is turned by playing with world class internationals then all we can do is offer him terms in the region of Payet Pogba etc.

Hopefully before the Euros as he could end up being the star player on the big stage.

Lets not kid ourselves a lot of players will leave for the money and "prestige" of bigger club. Its bollocks really and more often then not they just rot on the bench of a mega star team.

If we make champs league (and win the league this season) i can see a lot of those "rotting" players suddenly wanting to come to us for play time and champs league footy.

If kante leaves it is what it is. The team always goes on. That said sign him up longterm. Hope he realises how good he has it now.

Completely agree with this, for me he's been the single most important player and the real difference for us this season. Whilst Mahrez and Vardy (rightly) grabbed the headlines early doors, NG went about his business and has continued to do so. He will be very difficult to replace.

I think Kante is the one player we've got who could hold down a place in any team in the world. If the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona or maybe PSG for the French connection come in for him I can see him wanting to go and doing very well for himself at one of those clubs.

I wouldn't begrudge him or any of our players a move to one of the world's elite clubs to be honest. It has been nothing less than pure joy watching the likes of Kante in a Leicester shirt. He's one of those players that we'll still be talking about in 50 years. Whatever he decides to do, good luck to him, he'll always have a home here.

I would not be surprised if he was hailed as the best midfielder ever at the latter stages of

His career, if we were forced to sell him, I'd expect at least 75mill no joke.

Every player has their price , we need to hold our nerve when negotiating if a club comes in and stick to our price whatever that is. Ngolo is pushing for player of the year so it has to be at least 50m , that could go a long way to helping strengthen for the European campaign

I also think he's been our best player! Will be hard to replace IF he goes. But nobody knows if he wants to go.

The fact is that we have played all season with a midfield two and a striker dropping into the space between the lines and most weeks that has been against three. Logic tells you that is a recipe for disaster. Ngolo is so good that he makes our 2 v their 3 operate successfully.

They don't make them loyal anymore. But if he went he can just fade somewhere else. Morgan, Drinkwater, Vardy Mahrez, King, James, Kasper.. these are our heroes, they won us the championship and got us into the prem, then they saved us from the biggest escape ever. I will never ever ever lose sight of that.

Our scouts can find someone else to do 5 yard passes backwards and forwards and sideways.
