Donut Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Why is this in the Leicester section? Because Nigel Pearson is the manager of Leicester City.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 is he a Leicester legend yet? Of course he is, anybody that thinks otherwise is blind to the obvious; he took us from our lowest ebb and (interrupted by a pair of disastrous spells of awfully clueless, naive and ill-advised managers) propelled us to a ridiculously healthy position in modern football. But there's a massive difference between looking back on his tenure with fondness (which a lot of us do), and having an attachment that almost manifests itself as resentment towards the current regime. I was a massive Pearson advocate, I still am, and I'd love for him to do well in his next job providing it's not the shaggers or Forest - but I'm over the fact he's gone and there's a select few on here that need to strap a pair on and do the same because the obsession is becoming tedious.
shade Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 we all know he'll be back one day, let's move on for now.

This.Great post!
MPH Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Well it's unfair if you're incapable of appreciating the work of two different football managers at the same time, on a football forum, on the internet. What a bizarre response!
Max Power Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Nigel Pearson's team, Nigel Pearson's ethic, Nigel Pearson's staff, Nigel Pearson's spirit and Nigel Pearson's success. It shouldn't end and it won't.This is the lamest post I've ever seen. He was a good manager for us, no doubt. But get a life. "Nigel Pearsons spirit" ffs
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 This is the lamest post I've ever seen. He was a good manager for us, no doubt. But get a life. "Nigel Pearsons spirit" ffs How is that weird or lame? He created a close-knit team spirit that has endured under Ranieri Unless you have taken 'spirit' to mean 'ghost' in which case you're a moron
Donut Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 How is that weird or lame? He created a close-knit team spirit that has endured under Ranieri Unless you have taken 'spirit' to mean 'ghost' in which case you're a moron So clearly the spirit is nothing to do with Ranieri then. Nope.
ARM1968 Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Probably thinks there'll be a vacancy at Chelsea after they get nobbed by Arsenal at the weekend. Cech having a blinder and Walcott slamming in a first half hatrick. Mind you, he might have his eyes set on Newcastle an that.
Max Power Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 How is that weird or lame? He created a close-knit team spirit that has endured under Ranieri Unless you have taken 'spirit' to mean 'ghost' in which case you're a moron It sounds like mourinhos most recent nonsense when he is claiming credit for titles won under Ancelotti. Ranieri is managing the team. He takes credit along with the current back room and playing staff
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 So clearly the spirit is nothing to do with Ranieri then. Nope. No - the team that gave 100% and never gave up was established before Ranieri came. Do you remember how we were bottom for most of the season last year and still managed to stay up after being written off?
Mark_w Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 So clearly the spirit is nothing to do with Ranieri then. Nope. The 'spirit' seems very similar to the spirit we showed throughout much of Nigel's reign, particularly at the back end of last season. We probably looks better tactically this season than we did for much of last season, and certain players have been given more freedom to express themselves and have excelled so far. Those are things you probably should attribute to Ranieri, the attitude of this squad has been superb from the moment it was put together, and the bulk of that was in the Championship.
Donut Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 No - the team that gave 100% and never gave up was established before Ranieri came. Do you remember how we were bottom for most of the season last year and still managed to stay up after being written off? Oh right I see. Clearly youre right, Ranieri has had absolutely no effect whatsoever on the teams mentality and cohesion. In fact it was a very daft suggestion on my part that he may have had some input into that. Youre right, he clearly hasnt.
Corky Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 I thought Nige was great for us and did a much needed rebuilding job in getting us back to the top flight and keeping us there. But he's gone and Ranieri has been excellent so far in virtually all aspects. There is no need to pine for him, he's gone and the club is moving on. As it should do. He'll probably be more relaxed on this show without the pressure of management too.
cambridgefox Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 You're the worst person to preach this nonsense - I massively, massively appreciate the job Nige has done, but crying in a candlelit room over him like me over Laura 23 isn't getting you anywhere. Drop the avatar and move on, perhaps you'll start posting more interestingly. i shouldn't laugh pal but" crying in a candlelit room over him like me over Laura 23" done it for me.#tinderITK
m4DD0gg Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Well what a boring way to start a sunday morning.
Fox42 Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Well what a boring way to start a sunday morning. Well it is a Sunday...
Izzy Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 Never really watched Goals on Sunday before this season, it's actually a good little programme. Will be watching it this week especially if our Nige is on! I'm sorry to break it to you Matt, but he's not our Nige any more...
stillwater Posted 17 September 2015 Posted 17 September 2015 The bloke is and will all always be a self obsessed twat, best thing he could do is take a job at Forest so that the Nigel love in finally stops or the blind disciples of his can fook of and support Forest with him. Rant over .
