The Doctor Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Think we are done here, enjoy the game from your high horse Cool, let's judge simpson on his sporting ability. As bad at defending as de laet and worse going forward...
Mark_w Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Let's judge Simpson on his game not on his personal life, it's gone, let it go the club have so should you. Seriously? Why? I don't see why the actions of whoever at the club is responsible for the decision to stick by Danny Simpson, should be enough to convince us to accept that a morally reprehensible human being is representing our club. Being a football fan doesn't mean you have to disregard your morals and blindly accept everything the club does.
SpacedX Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 One of the major contributory factors in turning around last season was dropping Simpson. Atrocious FB, incapable of going forward, which wouldn't be so much of a concern if he could actually defend. Makes De Laet look like Cafu.
FoxyJim1987 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Only on foxestalk match thread could people be discussing pistorious and domestic abuse. If we cross the half way line we will have done better than west Bromwich, absolutely pathetic anti football. Mahrez has been Shiite last two games no one is untouchable......oh apart from okazaki.
Benguin Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 If we swapped Simpson for Mahrez and played 3-4-1-2 I'd think it was our best line up so far this year
davieG Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Simpson is bound to be better defensively with Albrighton in front of him than DeLaet with Mahrez in front. Hope DL is not judged on that basis.
FireFox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 If we swapped Simpson for Mahrez and played 3-4-1-2 I'd think it was our best line up so far this yearWith 2 CBs and 2 LWBs?
foxfanazer Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 What is the formation. Looked a few times but nothing seems obvious about it
The Doctor Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 With 2 CBs and 2 LWBs? Fuchs played lcb in preseason but fair point
Mike Oxlong Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Would've preferred to giive De Laet a start with a more defensively supportive RM ahead of him
The Doctor Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 What is the formation. Looked a few times but nothing seems obvious about it 4-4-2
FireFox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Fuchs played lcb in preseason but fair pointKeyword there is 'preseason'. Simpson and Chilwell did too IIRC.
davieG Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 What is the formation. Looked a few times but nothing seems obvious about it Most likely 442 as that seems to be CR preferred option but I guess it could be 5 at the back with Fuchs as the 3rd CB and Schlupp at LB.
Jam Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Simpson is bound to be better defensively with Albrighton in front of him than DeLaet with Mahrez in front. Hope DL is not judged on that basis. This. Although he inevitably will be.
weller54 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 whatchu doing claudio Lost the plot!! Rachel thread????
bovril Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Seriously? Why? Being a football fan doesn't mean you have to disregard your morals and blindly accept everything the club does. No, but there have been plenty of reprehensible human beings that have played for Leicester and other clubs down the years. We still watch the games though. I take it you'll be tuning in today.
Sunbury Fox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Not keen on that selection but let's hope it works! COYB!
kyleolly Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 he didnt do anything his mrs said the police got it wrong get behind him come on danny boy
Saxondale Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 So the answer to our leaky defence is to put Danny Simpson in. A man who backs off and backs off until he's actually tangled in the goal net. I love you Claudio, but this is a stinking move. It's no coincidence that for the entire period last season when this cretin was playing for us, we were shit. Hopefully Ranners will have the nous to sub him off when we're 4-0 down.
lgfualol Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 he didnt do anything his mrs said the police got it wrong get behind him come on danny boy She said that because if he goes to jail she'll no longer be a wag
stox259 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Mahrez should be playing. Norwich would have gone into this game fearing him. Yes they would have doubled up on him but that simply leaves more space for Vardy, Albrighton, Schlupp etc. Mahrez keeps the ball and is far better at pushing a team back than Okazaki. Oh and the small fact HES THE SECOND TOP GOAL SCORER IN THE LEAGUE SO FAR THIS SEASON! I just can't see why you couldn't use Mahrez instead of Okazaki in a free role in and around Vardy. I don't like to keep seeing the same man come off at half time. That cannot be good for anyone.
Webbo Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 On to the actual game. This game will tell us how far we've come. How will we bounce back from last week? Norwich aren't a bad side, a win here and we're on for a good season, lose and we might start to slide down the table.
dorsetboy Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wish people would stop slating okazaki how can you leave out a ballon d'or nominee ffs
