As alluded to, Mahrez in front of de laet offers no protection whereas obviously albrighton does. Mahrez should be playing off vardy not okazaki I reckon.

No point banging on about it now though, there has been an investigation and an appeal and presumably he has been cleared to play. Hope we sell and replace him at the first opportunity but in the meantime he is part of the squad so we may as well use him.

We still watch the games though. I take it you'll be tuning in today. Yes and I'd like us to win, I don't see why that, or the fact that other clubs have horrible people representing them, means I should be comfortable with Danny Simpson playing for us?

De Laet & Mahrez as good as they are going forward, defensively they don't work well together as Mahrez gives De Laet no support. Schlupp was awful against Arsenal at LB, pushing him further forward & have Fuchs helping him makes sense. I dislike Simpson also but I can see why Claudio has changed it today.

I think people are more upset with Simpson than the wide options, or I'd hope so. We tried Simpson last year and he was so shit at everything people wanted de Laet back

I love you Claudio, but this is a stinking move. It's no coincidence that for the entire period last season when this cretin was playing for us, we were shit. Hopefully Ranners will have the nous to sub him off when we're 4-0 down. Love the optimism We're not exactly blessed with right backs, so if Claudio wants to play 442 then it's RDL or Simpson, it's as simple as that
