UPinCarolina Posted 4 November 2015 Posted 4 November 2015 Sounds like a scary thought Vardy getting injured is terrifying. The man's pace makes my hamstrings feel like popping.
Freesolo Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Loc Remy How much do you think Chelsea would sell him for and would he even come here, plus the wages he would demand?
fridoux Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Remy is a great shout. long historical of injury. reminds me of saha's carrer.
justfoxes Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Don't know if this has been posted but Andros Townsend has wanted a move away from Spurs and now after this latest spat with the club allegedly embarrassing him regarding a spat with the nutritionist he's more likely to push for a move in January would you take him?
MPH Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 So are we still after slimani, or are we, or the papers rehashing old news?
Gerard Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 So are we still after slimani, or are we, or the papers rehashing old news? Let me just ring Claudio and I'll ask him, I'll get back to you.
Foxymcoxy Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Remy is a quality player but with the cost including wages and his injury record....Also not sure if I could see Vardy+Remy working.
TJB-fox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 How much do you think Chelsea would sell him for and would he even come here, plus the wages he would demand? We could afford his transfer fee easily, wages would definitely be negotiable bare in mind we'd be offering him first team football. If we want to progress, Remy is the calibre of football we need to be looking at (not necessarily Remy though)

(.) (.) Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 How do you guys feel with making bid for Charlie Austin? Maybe shipping off Ulloa he is a far better player IMO and both similar being big strikers A decent goal scorer but wouldn't be a good fit. The sort of strike partner that would suit Vardys game is either a Zamora(obviously not him) type who will win knock downs and Vardy can play off or a Sheringham(not him) type who can come deep and play Vardy in. Austin would suit Palace like a glove but if he moved here it would be nothing more than a vanity purchase.
st martin Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 We already have a star on loan playing at Blackburn ! Seems everyone is after him...Tom Lawrence !

Leicester are no the type of club that would waste millions of pounds on a player for "vanity purpose" ( I am guessing that means buying a player just for their name) they have a great scouting system look at some of buys. Vardy, Mahrez, Albrighton, Kante, Dyer all great players either free or close to free for today's standards If Leicester see a player for 500k and think he is a talent they would buy on quality, I just got the impression Austin was Quality to score 18 goals in a relegated team and not be bought by a solid prem outfit baffles me, QPR must think he is worth £30m or something
Soar Fox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 We may well be 3rd but we're years away from being able to attract Champions League quality strikers. Loic Remy will not come here. I don't know money talks nowadays. Remember Remy has played for Newcastle & Qpr in the past couple of years. He can't be that bothered about the calibre of team he plays for.
dannythefox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Remy would be class it's about having a decent squad and at the minute our strike force is shit, ulloa yes we need him he's a good option Kram won't make it at Leicester and shinji is a hard working player but will never score more than 8 goals a season. Lose Vardy through injury and we will struggle.

If we want to play more direct with two wingers then it might work but that would leave us wide open.

Stevosevic Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 The standard of the MLS is still pretty shit, hard to judge how good he is.

Countryfox Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 How much do you think Chelsea would sell him for and would he even come here, plus the wages he would demand? Yep ... it would be a step up ... top 3 team and all that ... he might not think he's good enough.
