if we have a good December i can't see anyone leaving. i cannot see vardy going for anything short of a record breaking deal. remember he is English, that adds 20M to any price. if andy caroll can go for 35m and not score goals what can an inform striker get?!

If Vardy has aspirations of going to the European Championship why would he leave? He is doing the business with Leicester and he has gone from earning a cap to now being touted as the striker who should play through the middle for England. If he was smart he would stay here and let his football do the talking.

At this moment in time we are in a run of form which isnt just Champions League form but title winning form. We are going on for a very exciting season with a realistic chance of a top 6 finish and European football. Not only that but we have owners who have the money. A team comes in for Vardy and offers 100k a week it wouldnt surprise me if our owners went straight in and matched the contract offer to keep him.

I would be more worried about Mahrez leaving in January than Vardy. Saying that though i wouldnt begrudge him a move if it was a big team outside of England. Would be gutted to see him in the prem at a 'bigger' team.

I'm not worried at all, both are contracted up to the eyeballs and if they leave it will be on the club's terms not the player's.

If a huge club made a paltry £10-£15m offer then it's easy to refuse as it's not enough money and it indicates to the player that the buying club don't rate them that highly.

If a Barcelona or Real Madrid come in with £30m+ offers then we get a good fee and even the likes of Man Utd struggle to keep their players when the super Spanish clubs come knocking.

If anyone goes we'll be handsomely compensated.

No way any of our key players are leaving in January. The Thais, Claudio and the team are ambitious and it wouldn't make sense to go anywhere unless some really big teams come knocking with an unreal amount of cash.

That said, we might well lose some of our fringe players like Kramaric, de Laet, Inler, James, Wasilewski etc.

Regarding Vardy and Mahrez - we should be slapping price tags on them for what they are worth to usI've seen reports of £15m for Vardy which is £10m less than he is worth to us in my opinion. Given what he brings to the team we would probably have to change our style of play if we were to lose him which would probably mean buying more than one player. Mahrez is easier to price as there are other tricky wingers out there - we would just struggle to find one who represents such good value for money.

To be honest I don't think we'll be able to replace Vardy for any money so you have to take in to account what Premier League football is worth to us each season. I'm interested to see how Vardy amd Mahrez react to any transfer bids made for them

Ranieri outright stated in one of the Brom post-match interviews that the overriding mission is to eventually turn Leicester into a 'big' club, both he and the Thais will be well aware that selling anyone this winter is counter-intuitive to that goal so I'm not the slightest bit worried.  The only concern is if they think they can sell up for a profit in the summer and bring in some hot prospect who doesn't turn out to be anywhere near as good.

Are we all forgetting that if a decent club comes in for them them that they might actually want to leave? And then surly its the age old get rid of them if they want to leave? IMO Vardy will stay but Mahrez might want to go if some one good comes in for um.

We aren't a selling club.

If they want to leave then its a different story, but I think they'd be stupid to do so currently. Then again we've seen many players leave clubs to sit on the bench for a "top 4" side.

In terms of incoming....we need to sort defence as a priority.

This is a myth, most clubs are selling clubs, look at united, ronaldo wanted to leave, then all you can do it maximise the profit.

Yes as everton showed, clubs do now have the money to say no, but can you seriously suggest that if the top 2 in spain came in for a player we can talk them into staying at a club in the midlands, with shit weather and earn half the money they can, for a better lifestyle elsewhere.

Honestly if I was good enough, no I wouldn't be that tempted to move to another club in this country, but I am a fan of this club, but if Barca came calling, I'm gone, no doubt about it.

I think Vardy will stay with us at least until the summer. Can't see him going abroad and he knows we are likely to still be Prem club next season, so only the top 6 clubs would have a chance of signing him. Even then, I don't think it would be a good move for him. He suits our style of play perfectly and it's not like he needs to move to gain more recognition. Getting loads with us!

Mahrez I think will be more difficult to hold on to. This guy is still young and destined for big things. Great thing is, we should be in the Prem again next season and will have a shed load of money coming in, so we can pay very good wages. I wouldn't begrudge him a move to a top 4 club though, although don't think he is quite ready for that yet. Can see us keeping hold of him until the summer at least I think.
