SecretPro Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Albrighton Kante Drinkwater Dyer Mahrez Vardy Right now I'd say that is by far our best starting 11. Could bring Benny in at the back for a crack of the whip too if needed.
kingfox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Schmeichel Benalouane Huth Morgan Fuchs Dyer Kante Drinkwater Schlupp Mahrez Vardy Subs - Schwarzer, Simpson, Inler, King, Albrighton, Okazaki, Ulloa
Sampson Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Am I right in thinking if Vardy scores he equals Arthur Chandler and Arthur Rowley's record for scoring in 7 consecutive matches?
ealingfox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Neither side will want to attack for fear of getting countered. 0-0 and pizza at last I reckon.
Dan Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 This is extremely intriguing. Their bubble seems to have burst a little bit of late though so I'm hoping we can see this through. Can see it being a fantastic game though.
MC Prussian Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 They're a very good side, very much like us, but more the fighting type. Cabaye's given them a solid backbone in midfield and they should not be underestimated. I'd play the same side that started today, but I'd equally like to see Inler given a chance in the league again (thinking that it's highly likely he'll start against Hull in the League Cup).
Guest ttfn Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 This is extremely intriguing. Their bubble seems to have burst a little bit of late though so I'm hoping we can see this through. Can see it being a fantastic game though. Every time they have a blip under Pardew though they've bounced back surprisingly strongly. I said it last season when we were bottom and they were about 12th that we are two extremely similar sides in terms of both style and ability - the main reasons for the difference in our league positions at the time were set pieces and luck. Today set pieces remain a problem for us and a huge strength for them, but our luck has turned - no longer are we losing shithouse 1-0 games like the game at the KP last season. Perhaps that's "making our own luck" though.
filbertstreet Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Just watching MOTD, they're without Gayle for our match, which is good cause he looked like a right bellend
ozleicester Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 1st half -Whatever team you like, in whatever formation.
Merging Cultures Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 1st half -Whatever team you like, in whatever formation. . They can start with a two goal advantage too.
Guest Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Felt Palace bullied us last season particularly at Selhurst. They were a much bigger and stronger team than us and it showed. Hoping this one is a more flowing game particularly given the amount of pace and trickery on both teams. Both sides love counter attacking football. Im struggling to pick the team to be honest. I've wanted us to play 3-5-2 all season but I'm going to stop wasting time on that bandwagon given we are 5th in the league in Mid October. Dyer certainly did his case no harm at all with that excellent showing off the bench at Southampton. Would be great to see us have a solid game defensively but as always the 3 points come first. In Don Claudio we trust.
Benguin Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Kasper Fuchs Huth Morgan Simpson Dyer Kante Drinkwater Albrighton Mahrez Vardy
reynard Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Two very similar sides. Both have pace and both can score goals and create chances. The one difference is that they seem to be able to defend. It is fine a the moment and we are picking up points but our terrible defence is going to cost us big time over the course of a full season. You simply cannot continue to concede the number of goals we are and expect not to be dragged down the table. If we score first I think we can win the game. They score first and I suspect they are better at shutting up shop than we are (not hard considering the number of goals we are conceding). They have won recent games 1-0 or 2-1.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Dyer and Mahrez made a great influence to the game when they came on yesterday, but at the same time want Albrighton and Schlupp to play. Good to have quality options to choose from though.
foxfanazer Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Don't think we can keep Mahrez out of the starting 11 tbh. He can pop up with a moment of magic at any time
crisp packet Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Benny for wes mahrez for Okazaki. Kasper Simpson Benny huth Fuchs Albrighton kante drinky shlupp Marhez Vardy Ulloa Morgan Inler Dyer(pushing for a start) King Okazaki Keeper

foxfanazer Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 They seem to win a fair few penalties so we need to be careful of that
Corky Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Would probably rather be playing them away given their away (and our away) form. Please just be better than last season's match.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 I haven't been to a game since Bournemouth so I'm pretty excited about this: Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Huth Fuchs Dyer Drinkwater Kante Schlupp Mahrez Vardy Subs: Schwarzer, Benalouane, King, Inler, Okazaki, Ulloa, Albrighton
Bettsj2 Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 We always lose to Palace so I think we'll probably lose to Palace.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 We need to double up on the wingers. Do that and close down Cabaye and we'll win. If we can defend set-peices.
Rasmic123 Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 i like benny but you cant take morgan out at the moment, been our best defender this season
