Benguin Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 West Brom away Watford home Newcastle away Surely 9 points here is not that unrealistic? What a position, to have 28 points before the hard run of fixtures!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 5 points and I'd be happy. Never do well at Newcastle whilst WBA are tough to play against despite their boring style of play. Their a defensive team. Would take five points with a couple of clean sheets
Donut Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Lets not get ahead of ourselves, i dont want to kill the joy but all 3 of those sides are capable teams. Watford are a decent side and got a very good 2-0 win today and are tough to beat. West Brom have put together back to back wins and have a little bit of confidence growing. Any time you pick up points on the road in this league its a great result, so id be happy with 5 points, and 6 and above would be terrific.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Think we'll beat Newcastle not sure about the other 2 can see Watford giving us problems with goal machine Troy Deeney firing them in left, right and centre.
lgfualol Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 4 or 5 points would be good. That'd leave us on 23/24 points going into the hardest set of fixtures. That is 16 off the 'safe' zone so we have a lot of games to make sure we get these points. We're in a pretty great position already. I'm still looking at the bottom end of the table and worrying about lower teams picking up points though.
ScouseFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 i'd be disappointed if we didn't beat newcastle and watford. we should probably beat all three, but anything less than 5/6 points would be a disaster.
HighPeakFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Although I applaud the optimism and sentiment, for me one game at a time and a massive buzz every time we win / come back
HighPeakFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 i'd be disappointed if we didn't beat newcastle and watford. we should probably beat all three, but anything less than 5/6 points would be a disaster. No it wouldn't
ScouseFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 No it wouldn't not in terms of points gained or league position but in terms of justice and how good our team is then it would
HighPeakFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 not in terms of points gained or league position but in terms of justice and how good our team is then it would we'll probably get what we deserve
foxfanazer Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 5 or 6 will do but no reason we can't get aĺl 9
sdb Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I swear every time a thread like this was started last year we went on a mass losing streak.
Carl the Llama Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Certainly they're 3 games we could realistically hope for wins from. If I were a betting man I'd say DWW, I usually lose bets though.
MIAMI_FOX Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Think we'll beat Newcastle not sure about the other 2 can see Watford giving us problems with goal machine Troy Deeney firing them in left, right and centre. Goal machine? I think his goal today was his first of the season . Hardly a goal machine
Russell sprout Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Goal machine? I think his goal today was his first of the season . Hardly a goal machine Exactly my thinking
Lionheart10 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Goal machine? I think his goal today was his first of the season . Hardly a goal machine Correct 1 goal in 10 games he is not firing them in anywhere!
Captain... Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 These are 3 of the weaker teams in the Prem and if we want to finish top half we have to be picking up points against them, I'm not saying we should/will get 9 points, but each game is winnable and we are in great form and Claudio and the players will go into each game with every expectation of getting 3 points. Important to pick up points here as we have a brutal run of games coming up after these three.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 What's up with you 3 I was clearly taking the mick.
Nick Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I'd take 4 points out of the next three games but I would not be surprised to get 9. I am concerned with today's formation though.
ARM1968 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Maybe when we beat Man Utd and Chelsea people will start to believe. Oh, hang on, Chelsea, hmmmm. Anyway, solid top 4 by Boxing Day or I'm a turkey.
Jimothy Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I'd take 4 points out of the next three games but I would not be surprised to get 9. I am concerned with today's formation though. I wouldn't take 4, that would involve losing to one of these, and we shouldn't be losing to these of we hope to finish in the top half. Least we should expect is 5, most we should expect is 7, but it wouldn't be a huge shock if we get 9.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 When was the last time we lost to anybody who you wouldn't expect to finish in the top 6? Start of February?
