Max Power Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Can see us absolutely battering West Brom and losing 1-0 to a header from some absolute loser like Craig Dawson. Win the other two though.
ramboacdc Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 would gladly take 5. 3 would be an under estimation. if we were able to get 9 we are all but safe in my eyes!
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 If we are still in the Top say 6 by Jan I wonder if the owners would open the cheque book to a huge signing. That's a good point actually. Obviously the priority is keeping hold of Mahrez and Vardy, but let's say we are sat in 6th place in January (unlikely but you never know with us) I wonder if the owners will 'give it a real go'. Who knows when we will ever have such a good chance to finish that high again, so surely they will do everything they can to try and see it out. All of a sudden, the best players won't turn us down because we are 'little Leicester', players will look at our League position and think, bloody hell they're good. All ifs buts and maybes, but you see my point.
Bayfox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Just had a look at the fixtures, If we won our next 3 which is a big if but not impossible. Arsenal have to play spurs in the same period Man Utd have to play palace away Man City have to play Liverpool West Ham will almost certainly drop point. These 3 games give us a chance to go joint Top. Just let that sink in for a minute. Before anyone wants to P**s on my fireworks, not saying it will, one game at a time, not putting the kiss of death on it because in truth even to be in the position we are in at this stage 10 games in i'm already in dreamland. I love this side. If we are still in the Top say 6 by Jan I wonder if the owners would open the cheque book to a huge signing. I'm sure on the current evidence the owners would be more than happy to improve the squad if the option comes up. But the problem we have like most clubs away from say the top 3 or 4 and the big clubs in spain etc, is where can we shop, Holland, France etc where the money isn't as good as over here, maybe italy if CR knows his onions, taking quality from spain is hard, the lifestyle plays a huge part, and as we have seen, over here all the clubs have money. Say for example villa, newcastle, sunderland etc have a really good player we want, why would they sell, they don't need the cash, they want to stay in the division, they will be sat saying the same things we are about Vardy and Mahrez. We need to keep hold of what we can and hope we can find another Kante or Mahrez etc.
Countryfox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 dont care really, just want to smash watford. I do care and really think this team is capable of great things this season. But agree about Watford .... REALLY hammer them, show we are a class above, and wipe the smile off that ugly pan faced tool Deeneys face.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Not too bothered about West Brom and Newcastle, but I'd absolutely love for us to batter Watford. If we're going to win by a big margin one game this season, please let it be against this lot.
footballfox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Albion 3 points Watford 3 points Newcastle 3 points Man U 0 points Swansea 3 points Chelsea 3 points Everton 1 points Liverpool 1 points Man city 0 points Total 17 from 27 Half season 36
M0901 Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Can see us absolutely battering West Brom and losing 1-0 to a header from some absolute loser like Craig Dawson. Win the other two though. This made me laugh a little too much
Mikey Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Can see us beating Newcastle. At home, with the pressure of their fans think theiir likely to attack us and leave their defence too open, which isn't very sensible against our attack in this form. Can see us drawin with West Brom and nicking a winner in a tight game against Watford. Be happy with 5 points though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 9 is possible, as others have said 5/6 would be a good return, 4 meh and anything less a disappointment even if you disregard our current form you'd like to see us beat Watford at home and pick up a point on the road against Newcastle. There's a pretty basic model that says if you right off the away games against the teams typically found in the top six, take a point off them at home and beat everyone else at home and draw away with everyone but the bottom three who you beat, your close to playing European football depending on who wins the cups.
Stevosevic Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 I think we'll be playing Newcastle and they'll have a caretaker/new manager in charge. I would swap the Watford and Newcastle games around if possible.
isleofwightfox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 We've got the same amount of points as we had after 28 games last season when we started our run. were not in a position where we should be desperate for points but to not pick up at least 4 would be really disappointing when we're looking so comfortable. I reckon we might stay up this year
Father Ted Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 I think that 6+ points from this run of games and we're still bang in the title hunt with a run against the big boys then to follow and to see if we can prove ourselves as genuine title contenders.

Man City on 29th December to decide who goes into the new year at the top of the league I reckon.
Thracian Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 It always irks me when people start counting points before they're won or dismissing Premiership rivals as if they have no chance because they don't play in Manchester or Liverpool. I don't expect West Brom to play like Real Madrid but the one thing Pulis teams have earned consistently is respect for the their organisation and the effort they make. If we have anything but the right attitude and the ruthlessness to compete and take chances when what few arise, we'll get smacked. Watford have usually played well enough against us in recent years and Newcastle will be smarting from the embarrassment of their sixth successive Premiership defeat against Sunderland so I don't suppose they'll be in a benevolent mood either. Every time I look through the league I see it the same way - there are no easy opponents and no foregone conclusions whether we're playing the bottom sides or the top. Matchday means hard work whatever but what we also know is that, with the right attitude and the right preparation, we can compete - and we can play - against anyone. And we will. And that's the only thing we can be sure of til the next game's over - Hull away.

As we saw on Sat keeping clean sheets is going to be key for us if we want to become a regular top side. One thing Italian sides tend to be is extremely tight at the back. I'm pretty sure CR will be looking at a top class right back and perhaps a top class center back to add to what we already have. Been interesting to see he had tinkered very little
Benguin Posted 9 November 2015 Author Posted 9 November 2015 We have gone past expectations! Genuinely think well get the 4th on the bounce at Newcastle
possiblygeorge Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Have not been looking forward to this period coming up since the fixtures were released. This is MASSIVE. Bring it on, 'big boys'!
FireFox Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 If we got all 9 points we would have a shot at being in 1st. Would be happy with 6. Glad I wasn't naive in thinking Man City and Arsenal would drop points. Would have still been in top 4 with 6.

TJB-fox Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 We'll lose 4/5 out of the next 6 and have to 'start our form all over again' I fear
