Voll Blau Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 We could go through all the LGBTQ+ gender identity descriptions, but none of it comes close to whether or not the one that identifies as a cat is a woman, and the one that identifies as a dog is a man. When the mainstream pushes this, it will eventually lead to pedophiles being classified as a sexual identity, and beastiality... I don't agree with putting them all together, i think the dynamic of male and female prisons is right, antone that is of troubled issue shold themselves be in segregation within their corresponding prison. No they won't, you're confusing gender identity and sexual preference. They're different things.
RedSoxUK Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 No they won't, you're confusing gender identity and sexual preference. They're different things. That's why I said sexual identity and not gender identity, and why I mentioned LGBTQ+; sorry if it was worded confusingly. Homosexuals are part of the LGBTQ+ because of their sexual preferences yes, and have the big following in LGBTQ+ rights. What's to stop the progression of pedophilia within that grouping because of their sexual preferences?? It's not an uncommon concept, and is growing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pedophile_and_pederast_advocacy_organizations
theessexfox Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 Not sure what prison I'd put her in, if she has a penis atm then probably the male prison. @@MattP are you really arguing that being transgender doesn't exist? That it is a choice someone has made and shouldn't be taken seriously? That it isn't a medical condition with which many people are born? If so, I suggest some reading would do you good, for a person as educated as yourself that is a really backward and archaic view.
Captain... Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 Safety? In terms of safety which is safer this person being in a male prison or female?
MPH Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 In terms of safety which is safer this person being in a male prison or female? Isolation. You'd be extremly naive to think that just because its a womens prison they will be safe.

How does that make it 'worse' to be trans? Or less legitimate?
Captain... Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 Isolation. You'd be extremly naive to think that just because its a womens prison they will be safe. I think that someone who looks like a woman and identifies as one is a lot safer in a women's prison than a men's prison.
MPH Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 I think that someone who looks like a woman and identifies as one is a lot safer in a women's prison than a men's prison. They have a very strange code in prisons. Word will soon get round. they will be under just as much threat of sexual violence. Then there are the women who will feel threatened and intimidated by his actions. They will see him as a man. He'll be a trophy for them. Their throat will be slit if given half the chance. *just to add, it's been for Christian ministry purposes i have people in prisons, no other reason
Guest ttfn Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 Could have just not broken the law. But part of living in a civilised country is knowing that if you're found guilty of a crime you're incarcerated in a safe environment with people of your own gender. If she had just completed a piece of legal documentation she'd be in a women's prison. That said, is there anything to stop a cis-gender man deciding to "identify" as a woman to get access to a female jail? Definitely sounds like season 5 of Prison Break to me. as if the advert which has come up is for Elton John!
Rincewind Posted 30 October 2015 Posted 30 October 2015 To identify as a woman you may have to have your genitals chopped off then you will not be able to perform as well in a female prison. So it is a little drastic just to get a little nooky. I would have thought if a person wants to be classed as the other sex they would have the op and change their birth certificate which the authorities. A person who thinks of themselves as a woman would prefer to be with women but I am sure the other women will not mind as there is sure to be some sexual activity going on.
orangecity23 Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 as if the advert which has come up is for Elton John! Well, this story is sad, so sad, its a sad sad situation.
Guest MattP Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 Certainly getting more and more absurd as well.
Stuntman_Mike Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 Would anyone on this forum cross swords with this person while seriously having the belief she's a "woman"? Come on. I think if we played cross swords it would confirm what she is..
Wymsey Posted 31 October 2015 Posted 31 October 2015 If you were an employer, would you have anxiety over having a transgender person in your workplace? ' I doubt there's many companies that hire such a person/personality, in case they fear they would have to 'tip-toe' around and try to avoid saying anything which could upset that person.

You could use that arguement to not employ all sorts of people - muslims; gays; blacks; disabled. There's no place for that kind of discrimination in any part of society.
Rincewind Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 It goes on though. They do not have to be openly discriminate. Just say they do not have the full criteria for the job. Especially when there are 50 plus applicants for a job. There was a thread about people with tattoos and earrings and how they would be unemployable in some people's eyes.

' I doubt there's many companies that hire such a person/personality, in case they fear they would have to 'tip-toe' around and try to avoid saying anything which could upset that person. Depends on the type of workplace. If its an office/ buisness set up then i'd want the best person who could close out the deal working there. Obviously there'd need to be some professionalism involved ( on all sides). However i know of a children's drs office here in America where the male Dr Suddenly announced he was now to be called by a female name and would be coming into work dressed as a woman and was going through gender reassignment therapy. A lot of parents didn't like this - and it weirded some of the boys out- they had issues they only wanted to talk about to a male. It confused some young kids. They ended up losing over 3,000 patients to other pediatric Dr's offices over it.
FireFox Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 At a high school, which could lose federal funding, near where I went: Illinois transgender student must get full locker room access Like other districts faced with this dilemma, the district tried to find a negotiated solution by putting up privacy curtains in the girls' locker room. Similar arrangements have kept schools from running afoul of anti-discrimination violations. At Township High School District 211, however, the line between accommodation and discrimination came down to this: whether the student would be able to choose to use the privacy curtains, or whether the school could force her to do so. The use of curtains might be OK, but the school can't have a policy that singles out this student for mandatory use of the privacy curtains, the Department of Education report states. "All students deserve the opportunity to participate equally in school programs and activities -- this is a basic civil right," Assistant U.S. Secretary for Civil Rights Catherine Lhamon said in a statement. The student, who hasn't been publicly identified, participates on a girls' sports team, but has been required to change and shower separately from her teammates and classmates. At public schools, the trend has been one of accommodation for students with different needs -- everything from wheelchair ramps to individual education programs, said Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality. Accommodating transgender students is not only the right thing to do, but an easy thing to do, she said. "All that really has to happen here is the adults have to put their prejudices in check," she said. "These are just kids who are trying to go to school." Adults have unfounded concerns that transgender students somehow disrupt class, Keisling said. Policies that single out transgender students only further the isolation they might feel and set them up for bullying and even worse violence, she said. What of the girls on this sports team who may be uncomfortable changing and showering with this person? Aren't they just "kids who are trying to go to school"? Comparing this to wheelchair ramps? What the hell?! Those do not make non-physically-handicapped people uncomfortable, so how is that at all comparable? And some might say, the girls who don't want to change or shower with this person should just themselves change or shower separately, but then couldn't they face bullying for being "not accepting" of this person's choice to identify as female?

And some might say, the girls who don't want to change or shower with this person should just themselves change or shower separately, but then couldn't they face bullying for being "not accepting" of this person's choice to identify as female? This is a relatively new concept. It's not as forward thinking and 'progressive' over here (except Brighton I think.) but in America the LGBTQ+ community are widely accepted in all walks of line, starting at schools. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against an LGBTQ+ person because of their sexual preferences; i'm against the community as a whole because of my views and what they now consider the norm. The fact there's about 20 definitions for ones 'identity', just tells me how far this has gone from the norm, and by norm I do mean man, woman, straight. There's no point resisting or combatting the growth, but there's every reason to fight it out of culture and mindets from a young age. What are we telling our kids? influencing their sexual prefernces by dressing up boys in dresses because the Mother wanted a daughter? I would feel uncomfortable with a school teaching my children that they're the same. That a man is the same as a woman, that a person that identifies as a woman, born a man, transitioning to a women, who is attracted to a man (yeah,) is the same as a straight boy. The idea of sexualisation at such a young age is baffling. Boys shouldn't grow up thinking they're a girl just because some of their friends identify as girls thus the teachers accept it and consider this 'normal behaviour'. I don't think those in the same boat intend to offend. I, like many others, question the movements growth in everyday society - and don't want masculinity to be stamped out by liberals like they have done in Sweden.
ozleicester Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 If she identies as female, have a Psych check, if it adds up, put her in a womens prison. Problem solved
Mike Oxlong Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Get Tara to make or receive a phonecall. If talks for more than ten minutes then is definitely female and should be put in a women's prison.
Buce Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Get Tara to make or receive a phonecall. If talks for more than ten minutes then is definitely female and should be put in a women's prison. You could double-check by letting her loose with someone's credit card for a couple of hours. Or ask her to explain the offside rule.
