Unsung hero...

Like many he will have his off days, but in later years he will be one of the names that will come

easily to mind, when older fans reminis.Hes the type of player who holds the English contingent

in memory in the PL.Quality and honest performer , BBone of English endeavours.

I think Albrighton was brought on so a starter for Saturday's game didn't have to go 90'. I don't think it was about winning the game or seeing if he could play there as much as it was about giving Simpson rest.

I love Albrighton for his contribution each game. He will always work hard both defensively and on the attack. His crosses are some of the best I've seen.

This has nothing to do with football but Marc Albrighton started the Atherstone Ball Game today (Happens every Shrove Tuesday).

The event has always been popular, but a few fresh faces were among the crowd to see Tamworth-born footballer Marc Albrighton, currently playing for premier league table-toppers Leicester City, kick off the 2016 Ball Game by throwing the ball from the upper Barclays Bank window.

Just read up on this its bloody mental, basically fighting for 2 hours over a ball with the only rules being not killing people

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/whats-on/whats-on-news/what-atherstone-ball-game-everything-10861521

Does it mean then that you can do GBH and not get arrested cause that is a bit scary if so.

That is quite possibly the dumbest 'tradition' I've ever seen.

What on earth did I just watch

Kirkwall Ba' game, anyone?

Definitely Mr steady Eddie. He reminds me a lot of James milner when he used to play on the wing. Great delivery, always a 6 or 7 out of 10, puts 100% effort in, but never really outstanding. He lacks the pace to beat anyone really. What's your thoughts?

He's OK, he certainly works hard and keeps us solid which really fits into our ethos. His crossing when accurate and well thought out is well worth a place in the starting team, however he too often just slings it into the box from anywhere. For me he's one we may need to replace long-term if we are to stay a top team in the PL

This is how I'd rate our first XI

Untouchables

Vardy

Mahrez

Kante

Very Safe

Schmeichel

Fuchs

Morgan

Drinkwater

Maybe

Huth

Albrighton

Probably Replaced

Simpson

Okazaki

Albrighton's place in the first XI may be under threat in the summer but I like him a lot as he's the ultimate team player. He doesn't score enough but works tirelessly for the team and along with Kante & DD plays a big part in protecting our defence and makes a lot of assists and key passes. I agree he'd be lethal if we had a 6,2" player who played in the No 10 role.

Even if we bought someone like Musa in the summer who took his position Albrighton would get plenty of minutes and would be essential as a different kind of winger to Mahrez, Musa & Gray.

Think in the future he could be an excellent right back for us. Not quite got the attacking ability to cut it at Champions League level. I think he could do a very good job as a right back.

Does anyone think he has stamina problems? It could be part of the reason why Nige waited so long to bring him into the team last season.

I know he works hard but it does seem he is always blowing out of his arse on 70mins and gets subbed for it a lot.

It may just be my imagination!

well if he worked the same way Mahrez did he would last the full 90, not a dig at Riyad but he does cheat defensively at times by not coming all the way back gambling for a quick clearance, with wingers on the bench its not problem to have Albrighton run his bollocks off for 70 or so mins each game

Can I ask who you would replace Huth with exactly?

Also Ranieri said in an interview the other day that Mahrez needs more time to recover.

I think this is just a genetic thing and there's only so fit any of us can get. Kante is the sort of man who genetically is probably incredibly fit like a marathon runner. Mahrez is probably as fit as he can be but genetically can't keep up with marathon runners stamina wise and needs more time to recover. This is why Mahrez gets subbed in a few games as he's probably running on empty.

Albrighton runs like a dog all game but naturally tires near the end so gets subbed a lot as well.

I feel a lot less comfortable when he's not on the pitch. Might be wrong but suspect our record with him playing vs. not could make worrying reading. Gary too lightweight for now I feel.

As mentioned above, every game he usually produces at least one of those aerial balls through to the strikers, they are quality a lot of the time.

Marc Albrighton lacks pace? Do you realise you are talking about one fastest players in the premier league?
