Guest Col city fan Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 And to think..wasn't he out on loan to bloody Forest or somewhere? What a revelation he's been.

Gerard Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 100%. Would rather him than a second Mahrez. Variety is the spice of our team-love the different strengths they all have... C'mon he's good but that's ridiculous. Imagine playing 4-5-1, Vardy up top with a Mahrez either side and three central MF's running games from the middle.
LCCFox96 Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 Albrighton does the basics to a very, very high standard. He's a very good classic winger - direct down the line, pacey, stamina and a good delivery from open play and dead balls. Nothing too flashy so his contribution gets overlooked. He's a very effective player in our side.

Wymsey Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He appears to be one of the 'silent' deadly performers, both attacking and defending. Doesn't get the plaudits he deserves.
Charl91 Posted 29 December 2015 Author Posted 29 December 2015 Not been on his best past few games. Hope he steps it up today!
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Wouldn't mind Nathan coming in tonight, MA's been looking a bit jaded recently, I can't really remember him playing out out his skin since West Brom away.
davieG Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Seemingly underestimated by some lcfc fans as well Ian Taylor reacts on Twitter to Marc Albrighton's performance, Villa fans respond http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/10/ian-taylor-reacts-on-twitter-to-marc-albrightons-performance-vil/
Webbo Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 He's been great. I don't think many city fans underestimate him.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Still a little bit miffed on why he's always stuck on the left. Yeah he does well there but seemingly is there to accommodate Mahrez cutting in. He is best getting a yard of space and whipping the ball in from the right. Can do it from the left but every opposition must know he has to cut onto his left. Did very well back end of last year on right. Think he's an underrated player and think he should be getting a mention for an England call up
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I thought he did very well when he came on today. Adds a bit of defensive stability as well as his crosses and going forward.
KingKante Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Glad this guy doesn't get the recognition he deserves, means that he's safe in our squad and no big guns come in for him during the transfer window!
AKCJ Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Easy to think he doesn't get the regocnition he deserves when we've had Vardy, Mahrez, Kante and Drinkwater having the seasons of their lives. He's been super, just overshadowed.
STUHILL Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 We rate him highly but I still think he is underated for the amount of work he puts in defence and attack. I know his crossing can be frustrating at times but it's a rare ability to be able to put a dangerous cross into the box from nearly anywhere on the pitch. We have a great balance now with flair and speed from Gray but also the crossing ability and defensive solidarity with Albrighton.
foxes21 Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 What did people think of Albrighton at right back tonight? I think Riyad has been crying out for some support down that wing. Could Albrighton do a job there?
dylanlegend Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 What did people think of Albrighton at right back tonight? I think Riyad has been crying out for some support down that wing. Could Albrighton do a job there? Did he actually play RB? I don't think I saw him in the Leicester half?
Jimmy Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 What did people think of Albrighton at right back tonight? I think Riyad has been crying out for some support down that wing. Could Albrighton do a job there? I've thought for a while that could be a good option for us, especially against the lower teams at home when we need to attack more
lgfualol Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 It's an option for deffo but I'd rather us just buy a rightback that can attack and defend. Simpson's only good at the second part.

Could Albrighton do a job there? No. You could see he hasn't got the positioning sense for a full back. Was a stupid substituion. Should have either just gone 3 up front and moved Chilwell across into a centre half or put Benayloune at full back and brought Morgan on.

He was the only one creating anything tbh when he came on. I think his positioning can be questioned for the goal, but attacking wise he looked good from right back.

I think his positioning can be questioned for the goal, but attacking wise he looked good from right back. I agree he was the only creative spark, but I think at full back it was pointless. We should have just gone 343 with Albrighton in a more natural position. We all know he defends anyway.
