Thracian Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 I don't know if people will stop calling this team a 2 man team. We couldn't really ask for better than Kante, Fuchs, Drinkwater or Morgan in current form. We're at least a 5 or 6 man team. How does that compare to our competition? Couldn't agree more - the comment struck me like shit in the face when I read it. Ours is far more than a two-man team. Some teams are better as a collective group than as individuals and, at Leicester, I can only think of two such teams to compare with these collectively in the 58 years I've watched...one under MON and the other under Matt Gillies.
dannythefox Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 With us he could have 3/4 seasons and leave a legend. With a top club if he doesn't perform in his first season he won't be there the next.
Bayfox Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 Playing devil's advocate, I thought that was clear, but obviously not. Edit: I think we might have different definitions of "2 man team". If our best players were Okazaki, Schmeichel, Ulloa and Simpson, I don't think we'd be anywhere near where we are now. Do you really think we would be? I was asking myself what the number of men team someone claiming we were would be when I wouldn't be able to argue any more. That's the number I got to. Yeah but we aren't a 2 many team in the same way Everton 2 best players are not kone and Howard.
Raw Dykes Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 Yeah but we aren't a 2 many team in the same way Everton 2 best players are not kone and Howard. I'm saying it's not fair to call us a 2 man team, because I think it's fair to say we have around 6 stand out players, not just 2. If you replaced all 6 of them with players no better than the next best (leaving the likes of Okazaki, Schmeichel, Simpson, etc. as our best players), then we would be quite a lot weaker. I think we'd still be very competitive if you only replaced Mahrez and Vardy with players about as good as Fuchs, Kante, Drinkwater and Morgan.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 Possibility of Champions League in a squad with some of your best mates or a move to London with a load of melty tinman renter fans and no Europe unless Chelsea can actually beat PSG and others for the first time in years. Nah you're alright John Cross, helmet. As a great man once said... Go to London. I guarantee you'll either be mugged or not appreciated. Catch the train to London, stopping at Rejection, Disappointment, Backstabbing Central and Shattered Dreams Parkway.
daddylonglegs Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 In my opinion theres little to no chance of us selling anyone in January who's a first team regular. Vardy definitely won't go as there's no one better than us at the moment who he'll go to and get regular game time. If he wants to leave and wants to be on the plane to France - he'll be sensible and leave at the end of the season.

daddylonglegs Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 He ain't going just dm'd him on insta. did you sweet talk him?
Raw Dykes Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 I'm not even drunk and I can't read that last paragraph  Had trouble writing it n all. I wish I hadn't even bothered now. What I was trying to say was, would I argue with someone claiming we were a 2 man team? Yes, absolutely. Would I argue with someone saying we only had 3 stand out players? Yes. 4 good players? Yes. 5? Yes, probably. 6? Probably not. I think we'd be considerably worse off if we had no better players than Okazaki/Ulloa/Schmeichel/Simpson, etc., and that's why I'd understand if someone called us a 5 or 6 man team. Even then, I think Benny/Inler/Kram could probably step in with a run of games, so I wouldn't say we've only got 5 or 6 good players, but I'd still see why a non-Leicester fan might say that. I hope that clears it up. Getting sick of it now. :xmaslaugh:
Carl the Llama Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 It's going to be a long January :-( Nah it's February that's longer next year.
Ozwin Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Can you imagine Vardy in London? He's deffo a chips and gravy sort of guy.
stretch1965 Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 They have to write about something even if it is without foundation. Don't worry it will not happen going nowhere
dayday Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Man City are the latest club according to the Sun that want him for £30 million.
Tuna Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Man City are the latest club according to the Sun that want him for £30 million. Treat it with the contempt it deserves.
Seth's dong Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Vards has put his house up for sale. Im not convinced he'll stay - if you've got a girlfriend you've been seeing for a couple of months and a better looking and dirtier women offers herself to you, it is likely that you would be very tempted and even if you didn't dump you girlfriend for the better looking one, your performances would suffer!
katieakita Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Man City are the latest club according to the Sun that want him for £30 million. Decline but offer them £30 million for Kompany
Guest Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 He won't be aloud to leave. Simple. Let's hope the owners shout that allowed.

Vardys house has been up for sale for awhile, he is rumoured to be moving to oakham, must get on with liam moore
Seth's dong Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 I'd heard that too........... It would be good if he staged and carried on improving. That said, 30 mill is a lot of money although I gather Fleetwood insisted on a sell on clause.

Couple more goals from vardy and we are safe and get double that. Hang around the top 4 and it's 3 or 4 times that. He will only go if he wants to. We have no need to sell at this point.

They must be praying we do.
Seth's dong Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 I heard a rumour it was a 25% clause! That would keep Fleetwood running for 2 to 3 seasons!
