norwichfox Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 He'll miss the FA Cup fixture then he'll be back. His op may have been timed such that he's not cup tied if some club comes along and waves enough pound notes at us. Football is passionate....but it is also a business.

norwichfox Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 It's the FA cup, not the champions league. Quite...Chelsea and Man City + other English teams that may be interested would rather buy a player not cup tied for the FA Cup.
AKCJ Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 Quite...Chelsea and Man City + other English teams that may be interested would rather buy a player not cup tied for the FA Cup. It's not going to put them off because they can't play him away at Rotherham in the 4th round though...

davieG Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy says club's Premier League ambitions match his own By Mercury_Sport | Posted: January 06, 2016 By Rob Tanner Jamie Vardy embraces Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri Comments (0)Jamie Vardy has said the ambition of Leicester City matches his own. There has been speculation that the striker's excellent form, that has seen him score 15 Premier League goals already this season, would spark transfer bids from bigger clubs during the January transfer window. Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly interested in Vardy while team-mate Riyad Mahrez, who has 13 league goals this campaign, has also courted similar speculation. City boss Claudio Ranieri has said the club will not sell the duo, he has said both players have also indicated they have no desire to leave either. Vardy said City are moving in the right direction to ensure they will be competing at the top of the table on a consistent basis. He has not ruled out the club mounting a challenge for a Champions League spot in the second half of the campaign. "You have seen what is going on at this club, it is building in a way they want to be challenging at the top all the time," said Vardy. "We will keep doing what we are doing all the time on the training field and see where it takes us. "We have reached 40 points. That is what the boss wanted us to achieve first and we have done that now and will see what his next objective is. "We just want to keep doing as well as we have been doing and take each game as it comes. "Who knows ,if we have another second half of the season like the first we will be there or thereabouts. "That is how this league has been up to now so we will take each game as it comes. "It would be brilliant (to finish in the top four) but we will just be doing exactly what we have been doing, which is looking to the next game. We will look to try and pick the points up and then look to the next one." City's second consecutive goalless draw, against Bournemouth last Saturday, has led to some pundits stating the City bubble is beginning to burst, but Vardy has rejected that claim. "I am sure they said that after we played Liverpool but we managed to get a point against Manchester City," he said. "At the end of the day, there is going to be speculation and people talking. We just have to let it go in one ear and out of the other and concentrate on ourselves." Fox 4 Life Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 Haha **** off United. I had the displeasure of attending the Swansea game at OT with a mate and it was like a morgue. The football they play is horrendous at the moment, would not suit Vards at all.
jim5000 Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 I think Vardy could possibly flop at a club like Man City, Utd, or Chelsea. The reason he's been so successful this season is that our entire game plan is geared towards his and Mahrez's speed an agression. At a bigger club he wouldn't get that and might even get shunted back out to the wing or forever stuck on the bench!
davieG Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 Their only real interest in Vardy is to take him/leic out of the equation in the battle for the top 4 places.
The Unknown Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 At least if Newcastle sign him we don't have to worry about him becoming a threat!!
