The title for now is still a bit of a dream in the back of my mind.

All I'm thinking is nailing that top 3 place as I just cannot stop thinking about the King Power on a Tuesday/Wednesday night, that Champions league anthem belting out and a corner of maybe Juve/Ajax/Dortmund ultras adding to one of the most proud feelings I guess in many of our lives...special!

I find myself in the ridiculous situation of being gutted if we don't win the league.

I know this is completely bonkers, but it is now there for the taking. If we get to May and we end up in 3rd place, I think we will all be happy in the broader sense but will feel that a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will have been missed.

It's crazy but it's true.

If we win next week we'll have won away at the three teams challenging with us. We could have a seven point lead depending on the result at Man City.

To not win the title from there will be very tough to take, however incredibly well we've done.

I'd be disappointed with 2nd now and I'm not even saying that for a reaction. We have a realistic chance of making club history, righting a long-term wrong that we thought given the nature of the league nowadays would never ever be possible without a Man City or Chelsea-like backing.

I think whatever happens from here (bar a total capitulation) we can be very proud but... we could be on the verge of something truly incredible. After watching the way we took apart the favourites with the best home record in the league, at their own ground, we've got to go and win it now.

Agree with this. And a "total capitulation", whilst possible, doesn't seem very likely. Yes, we will lose games here and there but I think as long as Arsenal/Man City/Spurs keep dropping points too, then it really could be our year.

But one game at a time though...

Yes I’d still be happy to finish 11th.

10th : Very happy

9th: Delighted

8th: elated

7th: thrilled

6th: over-joyed

5th: jubilant

4th: Ecstatic

3rd: Blissful

2nd:  Exultant

1st: I’d weep for a month

The most ridiculous post I've ever read on here.

Imagine if the players had that attitude, Jesus wept.

If we don't win it from this position a part of me will feel disappointed even if we finish second.

I've never been so confident going away to a top club like Man City and we strolled it. I feel the same about Arsenal, it's very much a winnable game for us and if we do then we only have ourselves to blame if we don't finish above them. Maybe I'm way off the mark but when I compare their team to ours I don't think they're any better than what we are. I could easily pick a combined XI and make a case for at least 5/6 Leicester players to be in that team.

We can't be 5pts clear with 13 games left after winning away at Tottenham & Man City in the last month and be happy with top four, I can't have that at all. Thankfully I'm almost certain that Ranieri and the players feel exactly the same. There won't be one person in that dressing room who will be happy to finish second from this position.

Is 3rd straight into the champions league group stages?

Yeah, so there's really no difference between 2nd and 3rd aside from pride and prize money.

I would be very happy with 3rd but it also depends on how we finish there. If we are top last day of the season and only need a point and lose and slip to 3rd on GD, then I would be pretty gutted and media and other fans would overshadow our amazing 3rd place and season by saying we choked or blew it etc etc...  That would really annoy me!

Here we are top of the league - three points clear of Arsenal and even with a marginally better goals difference aches"

For pleasure's sake what's up with you all.

Let's live the dream and think about winning something. Not second, not third but raising the trophy and then declaring our intention to retain it.Why so damned half-hearted?

5 points clear bud :)

"We will fight them on the beaches"

Chaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrge

It's the way we set up that helps us going away to these big sides. In some ways, at the weekend, we were absolutely perfectly set up to beat Man City. We had a defence they'd not deal with, an attack they'd not deal with, and a midfield that they simply didn't want to compete with. They were mentally all over the place with this Guardiola thing, for all they tell you they're focused etc... all that PR crap, I'm not having it that they haven't got one eye on next season already.

Arsenal are similar but will probably give us a tougher battle in midfield, and Man City don't pose anyone as dangerous as Sanchez either for me. Aguero's top drawer on his day but he's a lot more inconsistent than people seem to realise. I'd take Sanchez over him any day.

Arsenal though are renowned for being quite reluctant to alter what they do, so should we nullify their attacking threat I think they're there for the taking too. I think Tottenham are more of a solid all-round team than both of those two.

would be please to finish top 4 but would love to win the title.

Given that top 4 is almost a certainty now, I cannot really say with sincerity that anything other than 1st would please me now
