Finishing third means probably finishing behind arsenal and citeh. Anyone who wouldn't be delirious with that needs their bumps felt. We have to play at both of them yet.

Of course I'd like to have a go at winning it but if we get to the CL, we have a chance of competing again. and third means we do get to the group stages. Fourth would just have me worrying about the qualifying draw.

If we finished first, well, cant imagine it at present but top four I'd be happy with.

Then again, I'm truly happy with this and the three previous seasons.

Seen a lot of good matches, promotion back to the big time, some real quality football and talent.

So, in regards to football, I'm happy :)

Do you have a sense of irony? By all means criticise the team (and boy, do you ever), but for asking an interesting question to see where people are at, I still get a telling off. Believe you me, I am dreaming of winning the thing, but asking about a possibility that sees us in the CL seems a fairly reasonable thing to ask.

I criticise the team because I care about finishing first rather than third. Every team I ever managed or coached was criticised even when we won cup finals 6-0 and even though I'll only ever think of them as bloody marvellous. It's the way I am and have always been - with myself as well as everyone else.

There's always room for improvement, things worth working on, new challenges to meet.

Look at our club since Pearson's arrival. The striving for improvement has never stopped. Many thought it might when he left but it hasn't.

Did Drinkwater sulk when he dropped out of the team for a while?

I really don't know on a personal level but as a player he rolled his sleeves up, faced the problems and started playing like never before.

Even now he seems to be working on still more improvement and that's one of the reasons we've done so well. No-one is ever satisfied or allowed to get complacent.

You posted a question and I posted answer.

To me that's paying you a compliment rather than having a go at you.

Hell if I only posted where I wouldn't get flak, I'd never bother.

When we drew against United and city I was disappointed if we finished outside the top 2 I would be gutted

A genuine beating as against Liverpool is one thing but it's always horrible to finish a game with a draw or defeat when you really should have won.

Our primary objective must be first.

It's now a 15 match season and we have earned a three point start. Most of our players are fit, have no card problems, less games to play then our contenders. They all have perhaps 18 plus games, chances of injuries / sending offs etc.

We have a golden opportuntity, managed by an exerienced european underated manager who is no fool. Be in no doubt that this is maybe his last chance to win a major prize. He will be busting a gut to make sure he gives it his all. He won't want to retire regretting he let this chance go. I am really hopeful we can do it.

So to answer your question, I will be gutted at third place, but if it happens (or worse) will immediately embrace this season and applaud the players, management, back room staff and owners for a fantastic nine months.

Whatever happens, I will be so proud of being a Leicester City Football Club supporter, because I know whatever the outcome, we gave it (including the supporters) our all.

I think the problem is we've all supported Leicester for far too long to think this can carry on, I think a lot of us are expecting some sort of collapse because it would be a 'Leicester' thing to do.

Ranieri needs to get the players thinking about only one game at a time (which I'm sure they are) but that shouldn't stop us fans dreaming, and expecting. There isn't anyone to fear in this league anymore, we've given everyone we've played a decent game.

I watched Man City yesterday and Arsenal today thinking we can get results against these. Imagine Vardy isolating Mertesacker?

Exciting times!

Ecstatic!

1st: die and go to heaven already, please.

2nd - 3rd: ecstatic

4th: shat in my pants happiness

5th - 6th: dusting off passport

anything worse: disappointed

relegation: die and go to heaven already, please.

I still think Man City will win the league, just because once they get Kompany back, they are a very different team. Arsenal will do what they always do, come up short.

We have an incredible chance though and 15 games with one focus, as opposed to the other teams who have other cups to focus on too and more games.

It is certainly possible to win it and I keep daydreaming of the day but it will still be so difficult and my heart says winners, my head says 3rd or 4th...

One thing is for sure. We will seriously increase our chances if we sign a top striker in this window. Time for Walsh and Claudio to work their magic on that one!

This is not a trick question or a thracian attack

What you mention here, would be ok, if you were involved or could alter character, or impliment personal training

of the playing staff. But like all of us, its all support , direct fan (atical) following for entertainment.

Any room for improvement, is not in our hands.

I am a positive person, so I dont search out negatives, for topics out of my hand within the light side of life,

but it is fair to be critical, and point out negatives. Depends I suppose how much you want to dig and bite.

I dont always agree with your stance on some points, others are equally relevant and have weight.

That said I enjoy your post and they are just as good as anything I post, with pro and contra thoughts healthy

for any forum.

MY one bugbear, on this forum, not from you necessarily, is I dont understand how some go far too much in

detail, on single players odd mistakes, or weaknesses shown in one or just 2 games. Then jizz them off 3-4

days after a game has PL noncompatable failures.

We cant virtually dig into our clubs players strengths/weaknesses, so over the top negativity astounds me a little.

Especially after this last year.

Even if we don't win the league we've still dispelled so many myths about this league this season, and that is something to be proud of.

I thought Piers Morgan was absolutely spot on when he said that if Leicester win the league it completely quashes any of these excuses top club managers make.

I would be ecstatic, unless we finish 3rd due to a terrible final day performance which sees us throw away a certain top place finish. I can't believe I'm worrying about that lol

I was going to post the same thing, I would only be gutted if we lost it on the last game of the season with Diego Costa channelling the spirit of Erland Jonsen and diving to win a last minute penalty to deny us the title.

Even then I would get over it when the champions league draw was made.

Second or third are the same thing, first would just be ridiculous, 4th - 6th would also be something special but could be disappointing, but that all depends on how and why we end up there.

It doesn't, that comment is basically saying that if Leicester win the league it must be easy to win the league. So big teams have no excuse, which is basically bollocks. If we win the league it means we won the most points.

At the start of the season, I'd have been chuffed to bits with 3rd, but now anything other than winning the league would feel like a huge gutting disappointment!

You don't have an open top bus parade for 3rd place! I want us to be champions and win the Premier League trophy to put alongside the Championship and League 1 silverware. You can't put 3rd place in the trophy cabinet.

Imagine this. We win the league by beating Man Utd at Old Trafford on 30th April with 2 games to go.Chelsea form a guard of honour for the new champions. Terry changes into City Strip so he can be in the Champions photo.Imagine.

Imagine going into Stamford Bridge on the last day of the season getting a guard of honour by the previous champions who are languishing mid table. We'd be talking about this for decades to come.

If someone went into a coma last April and woke up now and saw the table he'd think he was in an alternate universe lol

Imagine if after managing juve, inter and chelsea, claudio won his first title with us...

If we finished third I'd still love it, but it's in our own hands now and it''d be slightly disappointing if we were to crumble.

Apologies if I have misinterpreted your post but third would hardly be a crumble would it? Would likely mean we've not beaten Man City and/or Arsenal away... Even finishing above Spurs would be an unreal achievement this year.
