filbertstreet Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 10m euro for a 29 year old!? That Jamie Vardy bloke's 29 ain't he?
Tuna Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 That Jamie Vardy bloke's 29 ain't he? Messi is 29, Ronaldo is 31?
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Isn't this the only season he's been particularly prolific? I thought he was more of an attacking midfielder / winger? Scored 12 goals so far this season, scored 9 goals last season, and 12 goals the season before that. Pretty consistent
STUHILL Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Youtube comment: "Brazilian born player who made a debut this march for Italy against Bulgaria when he scored a goal. Eder has the ability to dribble past players and is very comfortable on the ball. Further, while playing on the wings, he likes to cut inside the box and takes shots. Given his physical stature, he rarely goes into tackling. His main strength includes taking shots from long ranges and his dribblling ability because of which he is likely to draw a number of fouls in or around the opposition’s penalty box. He also has the ability to unlock rigid defences through his trickery"

Swarles Barkley Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Reading the sampdoria forums using google translate They say that 13mil is far too less for him, and they reckon they would be in big trouble of being relegated if they sold him
FireFox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 On Reddit: "Just now watching on Sky Sport (where Di Marzio works), they said that Samp refused Leicester £10m offer for fear of getting relegated if he were to leave. Players looks like he wants to stay as well"
Bamba's Babes Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Also, is it a worry that we let Kramaric go without having anything agreed with another player or club? Have we maybe switched targets from our original replacement?

They're our hope when we're looking to sell our aging players on long contracts.
steflcfc Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I cant say I have ever heard of him to be honest. Kram came with a decent reputation and Chelsea sniffing and look how that has worked out. I feel we need a proven PL goalscorer at this level to take the heat off Vardy, and he needs to chip in with goals straight away. A relatively unknown player may need time to adjust to the league. Hopefully Walsh has signalled a few players as Raneri's Italian league signings leave a bit to be desired so far with Inler and Benalouane
Dan Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 We could do with someone to unlock tight defences really if we've got a lot of home games against sides who'll come here and sit back.
My Nads Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 He might be a great signing, but this kind of signing worries me. The Italian league is technical and slow, it's so different playing in the fast paced Prem and even more so playing for us the fastest team in the fastest league. Sign this kind of player in the summer, but right now we should be looking at someone that has played in the Prem before and can slot straight in.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 If he's just got into the national side, he'll want guaranteed playing time if he were to join us - so I guess the question is, would his style compliment Vardy?
STUHILL Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 It's a risk. I would be pushing hard for someone who has Prem league experience, but I know that won't be easy. Perhaps we have tried that and are now on to taking a punt on someone Walsh and Claudio think could make an instant impact.. He certainly looks an interesting player and comes highly regarded. I think I would prefer someone with genuine speed and physical presence but I will just be happy if we have another striking option that can chip in with some goals. Good to see we are willing to spend big on this next striker and not taking the cheap, loan Bamford route...

foxes21 Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Guys could this be one of those leaks the club purposely put out there to pressure another club/player into accepting our offer? Happened with Kante, Ulloa, Cambiasso, etc.
HoustonFox Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 He's definitely a second striker / number 10! He would be a very good signing and could play alongside or instead of Vards. Not quite the blow me away signing Micky was alluding too but a very very good player. Looks like we've been watching Samp a fair bit,,,
Jordan Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Why is the top scorer in serie a being linked with a move to China? Bit strange, don't know a lot about the league but the last two imports have failed. I was hoping we'd be going for someone a bit younger. It's probably more to do with what's going on in China than Éder's ability and value. Teams over there are starting to throw money around left and right--four players from Corinthians just signed deals with Chinese Super League clubs this month after multi-million pound transfers.
foxes21 Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Tbh payet is 29 this year as well. I don't think we should dismiss this guy due to his age. We would have 4 strikers all hitting 30 next season though.. We will probably sign a younger player as an understudy to Vardy. Who knows!
roblcfc84 Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Excellent player - sampdoria struggling aswell so i can see him fancying a move
Babylon Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 We seem like we want to give them 10m euros for someone. First the right back who has played about 6 times and now this chap, a 29 year old with a patchy record.
