Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Totally laidback and enjoying it? Completely obsessed and thinking about football 24/7? Are you as stressed about success this season as it was last season just trying to avoid failure? It is different to any other season we've had and I can't see how we'll experience it again in our lifetimes matched against the expectations at the start of the season. I must admit I thought the media would lap it up more than they have. We've had loads of good publicity obviously but there's also been a lot of ill-informed rubbish and unnecessary digs purely because of the huge increase in coverage and the amount of people now talking about us. It's been surreal. I keep thinking about the mid-2000s Levein-era teams for some reason. I found a match thread the other day for a game against Luton and everyone was desperately trying to assemble a team with a semblance of pace. Also remember a Q&A with O'Neill in about 1998 when fans were questioning why he hadn't signed a striker and the general vibe was that we were an established Premier League team. Two years on it was all so different and it made you realise how fragile it is even when it seems secure. I also remember sitting there watching individuals (Mahrez) and the collective as well last season thinking it's a shame we're going down and this team will be broken up because it seemed so close to being quality. But this is something else.
Stevosevic Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I'm obsessed by it all, match days can't come quick enough this season and then I am more nervous than usual when they do.
Max Power Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I'm loving it. Can't stop thinking about football and dreaming just like Claudio says. Always with the lingering thought that we're gonna fook it all up somehow but that will never go away.
LJS Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Definitely obsessed. It's a fantastic season and I can't describe how much I really really want us to win the league. Can you imagine how that would feel? Like Max, I'm not comfortable. I'll always have this worry that we'll **** it all up. But thinking rationally, I don't think we will. We'll make the top four at least. That Champion's League music playing at the KP. Lionel Messi leading Neymar and Suarez out of the tunnel, stared down by Morgan and Huth.......
Great Boos Up Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Loving the plaudits and bragging rights whilst still trying to be humble. But if I have sum it up I am just bursting with pride for my team.
Captain... Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Couldn't be happier, can't stop thinking about all the possibilities, but trying not to get carried away. 47 points at the end of the season and I would have been happy, 47 points after 23 games is just ridiculous. 10 months of being the form team in the World, it is just madness.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 January 2016 Author Posted 26 January 2016 It's interesting to see how other fans have changed when you meet them now. They used to be joking and laughing about it, just genuinely happy for us, before Christmas but now they seem to be deadly serious and determined to discuss the run-in or in some kind of shock themselves.

I don't think it has quite sank in for me, I keep expecting it to all go back to normal, whatever that is. I'm now looking at the fixture list in a different light to ever before and thinking where might we drop points, instead of where we might pick up points.
SystonFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I've pooed and jizzed my pants on numerous occasions

I'm now looking at the fixture list in a different light to ever before and thinking where might we drop points, instead of where we might pick up points. Yeah that is really weird, I can't do it. I still work upwards from 0 points rather than downwards from 3 points each game. I guess a pessimist is never disappointed. Having an interest in an Arsenal v Chelsea league game was surreal too.
Webbo Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Desperately trying not to think about the possibility of winning the league and failing miserably.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Its quite surreal to be honest that this could probably be our best ever season in our clubs existence... I'm loving every second and finding myself checking the table daily just to remind myself of where we are
Kinowe Soorie Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Trying to keep calm about it all and not get too carried away. But fzcking hell, is this really happening, to us? Leicester City? Yo, yo club! It's what is so brilliant about football, it still could go very horribly wrong, but I'm absolutely buzzing!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 January 2016 Author Posted 26 January 2016 Desperately trying not to think about the possibility of winning the league and failing miserably. I don't ever want to get to the point where I'd be disappointed if we don't win the league, unless it happens of course. But then I didn't want to get to the point where I'd be disappointed if we didn't qualify for the Champions League, and look what's happened...
BoyJones Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Season is flying by. All going too quickly. This 10 days off is nice to relax and savour the situation. Doing all the sad things like checking everyone's run in etc, but basically very, very hopeful. If, however, I start to get over confident, I log on to the forum where you can be sure to find quite a few negative posts!!
JerryLundegaard Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I like grinning like an idiot Yes, but how do you feel about the season?
cambridgefox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Saw a bloke last night who I hadn't seen since last year when we were shite.Spent every cold Monday evening whilst our kids were football training listening to him tell me we were doomed ,and say we had no chance of surviving,I thought I wanted to bump into him again at the end of last season. He was at a meeting at the school last night. He made an effort to come over and say it was fantastic to see us where we are, hopes we win it and said the amount of grief he gave me last season I bet I was itching to see him. He also said he was glad the kids team was no longer going because he said he couldn't stand an hour of me every single week in his ear would be too much to handle.its like a dream supporting Leicester at the moment.
StriderHiryu Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I've actually found this season to be one of the most stressful ever, even though it's been the most amazing on record! It's because it's literally like a dream coming true. In my wildest dreams I thought that MAYBE with another late surge we could sneak into 7th and qualify for Europe as a result of the teams above us winning competitions. And that would be an amazing achievement. Right not not only are we top of the league, we have lost the fewest times and have been the most consistent! It's stressful because now we dare to dream. Could you imagine if we actually won the title... I'm not sure we'll ever have this good a chance for the rest of my life!
The Doctor Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Obsessing about it constantly - this team has a strong chance of going down as the best side in our history, and when you then hear radio leicester talking yesterday about how's it's been exactly a decade since we sacked Levein it just doesn't seem real. I'm trying to spend as much of this thinking about how great a position we're in before I wake up and find we're in a league two relegation battle with Carl Cort leading the line.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I'm really laid back about it. Whatever happens now bar a catastrophic collapse we've have a season beyond all expectations. I'm lapping up the comments and support from other fans though- reading their forums and the like. It seems that if a fan can't have their own side winning it they want us to. I think that's the part I'm enjoying the most actually.
Izzy Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I'm just desperately trying to stay 'in the moment' and take one game at a time. I still won't allow myself to dream or get carried away - even though we're odds on to finish top 4. The whole thing is just so surreal and it's almost like I'm watching another team - not my Leicester. All the attention is great, but I can't help thinking that the London bias media can't wait for us to blow it. Whatever happens this season, I think the medium/long term future for the club is bright - and that's the most important thing.
Corky Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Enjoying it at the moment, but the closer we get to possibly winning the league and the enormity of it will probably take over.
Jimothy Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I've pooed and jizzed my pants on numerous occasions He didn't ask you what a normal day was like for you
