onekeithweller Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I'm not coping very well yesterday was the 2nd time this season were I've stood up to celebrate gone extremely light headed and thought I was gonna collapse oh well Yes, had to stop watching after the goal. First time in my life I've stopped watching a City game.
Tim'llFixIt Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Almost dislocated my shoulder celebrating in the lounge yesterday .... I'm a quivering wreck
ScouseFox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 pretty relaxed, everything going as I expected it too. similar to the end of last season really. still this imo
ARM1968 Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I'm not. Worst season ever potentially, or the best ever literally. I keep trying to relax and enjoy it, but I really can't. Edging ever closer to utter ecstasy or spectacular disappointment.
stripeyfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I worry for my heart. I think this team could kill me off this season
Biggus Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Time has stood still - in the gap between games - days have become months and weeks have become years. Please speed it up.
st albans fox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Perspective - just as arsenal's 95th minute winner didn't mean they would win the league and we wouldn't, so yesterday's late winner doesn't mean we will. You have to look behind the results. Too many knee jerk reactions to where the points go. Still 11 to go. We showed at arsenal that we weren't phased by being favourites - we probably would have won with 11. And they showed that they aren't good enough to be as short as they became in the market afterwards. Yesterday raised as many questions as it answered. If we had swatted away a deep sittng Norwich then I would be feeling a lot more confident about the run in. Perhaps we can put it down to the lay off? Tuesday is a pretty crucial game - not just for the result but moreso how we cope with their likely defensive setup. A scrappy win would be brilliant but would signal more of the same to come. Would be good to get a system in place to overcome teams that are happy to sit deep for a point. The away fixtures (s'land aside) should be ok as teams will not sit deep at their own ground. The home games (Everton and soton apart) could be reruns of yesterday. Still think we will win it.
4everfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 How am I coping with this season? With a smug look on my face, that's how.
Strokes Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 This has definitely changed now and I'm working downwards from three points if that makes sense. It's turned into a proper title race for me (belatedly) where you just see any draw or loss as dropped points.I've not wanted to get sucked into thinking about the title and have suppressed any thought. With 5 minutes left I was telling my dad how much a point was a decent return and we should be pleased. Once the goal went in, I knew how much shit I was full of and how desperately disappointed I will be if we don't win it. We are in for the title, we can win it and we thoroughly deserve to lift that crown. I've always laughed when players have been called heroes or similar before but these boys deserve accolades reserved only for the very best of the best. I've never felt so attached to the club.
ajthefox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 City winning all the time makes everything else in life better. That said, I feel so on edge with every game. That we are still top and are seriously in the title race is such a mental feeling to have. Waiting for each game is painful.
HighPeakFox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Calm - it really hasn't sunk in that this is getting so close, it still feels surreal.

Max Power Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Got to say I'm struggling more and more. I was absolutely drained after Norwich. Even if we do it I may not live to see us lift the trophy

Even if we do it I may not live to see us lift the trophyif we win the league I don't think I'll be around to watch us in the champions league I'd appreciate an applause in the 69th minute of our 1st game next season
Bluetintedspecs Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 It's like going to a night club and the best looking woman there picks you out, dances with you all night then takes you home gives you the best nooky you've ever had. I DON'T WANT IT TO STOP... I do hope Roger De Courcy wasn't there as well as that damn Nooky Bear?
BoyJones Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I'm not coping very well yesterday was the 2nd time this season were I've stood up to celebrate gone extremely light headed and thought I was gonna collapse oh well Three times this year my legs have gone and my chest pains have kicked in, Huth at Spurs, second goal against Pool and Ulloa on Saturday. Worth it though. Hope it happens at eleven more matches! I have always been a bit of an emotional pussy, cried at Man City 4-3 in 1968, Derby in 1994, Stoke away 2008, and a few others, but the last 12 months is the most proud I have ever been of the lads. I keep looking at all the other teams remaining fixtures, trying to forecast results allocate points etc. FFS, I retire this summer. My wife says I have gone back to being like a 20 year old from the early 70's, football has taken over my life again.
steveherbe Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I worry for my heart. I think this team could kill me off this season I second this. Was saying the same in the ground yesterday. We may well win this league, but will my heart survive it? Hope so cos I'm lovin it. 60 bloody years I've been waiting for this

Thats a bit worrying I'm not even 30 till April and somebody who was supporting Leicester in the 60's has similar health concerns to me

Was at the 4-3, on my way to golf when we beat Derby, Toms semi-final loss when we lost to Stoke.
Livid Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 It's starting to get a bit real for me now. I keep telling myself that wherever we finish it will be a fantastic achievement but I know I've supported then for 40 years and my dad did 25 before I came along. This is probably a once in a lifetime thing. I'm chain eating boiled sweets throughout each game and it's cost me 4 fillings in the last four months, my dentist told me to STOP last week. I've got Mrs L a ticket for the West Brom game, if it doesn't go well and she tells me it's just a game we may be getting divorced. I'm just not cut out for a season like this, I've never dreamt of this even being possible.
thebluefox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I can't believe after how good it felt during the O'Neill years, with top half finishes, that with 11 games still to go we already have more points than any of those seasons. It really is incredible.
UPinCarolina Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 In some ways, I'm secretly pleased that many of our fixtures were moved to Sunday. I will now be able to enjoy my Saturday without worry. The downside is that the Sunday panic that usually sets in around 1pm will now setting in as soon as I get up...and God forbid we lose.
