HankMarvin Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Chelsea still want Jamie Vardy transfer — and could offer Leicester Loic Remy in part-exchange 22:30, 27 JAN 2016 BY DARREN LEWIS The Foxes insist they have no intention of selling their £30m-rated striker but maintain their interest in his wantaway Stamford Bridge counterpart Back on the radar: Will Chelsea get Vardy with a Remy-plus-cash offer? Chelsea remain keen on Leicester star Jamie Vardy - and could use Loic Remy as a makeweight to try to land the England striker. The Foxes have joined the chase for wantaway Remy, and have already made a £7.6million bid for the France international forward. But they have made it clear they have no intention of parting with £30m-rated Vardy before Monday night's transfer deadline as they attempt to pursue their shock title bid. Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is determined not to lose his one of his stars, and wants to add players to his Premier League-leading squad. In pictures - Leicester 3-0 Stoke: VIEW GALLERY He said: “It’s important to have - I need, I’d like to have - two players for every position now. “I’d like another striker to give support to the other three, because our strength is playing at high intensity and it’s not possible to play at high intensity for all the season, for this reason. I know it’s difficult but we must try.” Plumb Images Exit: Loic Remy is set to leave Chelsea, though his destination remains unknown Chelsea have not yet made a move for Vardy and know they would face a tough task persuading them to sell in mid-season. The former non-League player, who turned 29 this month, regained his scoring touch - after just one goal in his previous nine appearances - last weekend, netting in the 3-0 win over Stoke, taking his tally to 16 for the season.
ARM1968 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Can't see a mid table side with nothing to win but their pride back tempting Jamie.
Bakey Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Like vardy would even consider a mediocre second half of the season with Chelsea in comparison to what ours could potentially be
SecretPro Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Chelsea are wank and showing very little sign of improvement. Why would Vardy go there? He's making history here ffs.
justfoxes Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 Chelsea and Roman can go and kiss our Arse !! Why would Jamie Vardy want to leave a top of the table club for a mediocre mid table club like Chelski so laughable too to offer Remy as bait ffs reads desperation and also they want Claudio back too chelski are really comical lately !!
AyewJoking Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 just when loic remy thought nothing could scupper his dream move...........
Sly Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 So did they not print an article the other day stating we'd even rejected the chance to loan Remy?!? All rumours from the Daily Mirror should be banned.
st albans fox Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 What's the point in swapping a part time goalscorer for a full time goalscorer. We end up worse off. Ridiculous.
chapero82 Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 We can offer that. But all the other players would be unhappy because they are on less
4everfox Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 But all the other players would be unhappy because they are on less Any player that could begrudge Vardy earning more then them based on this season should be sold in my opinion. Not that it will happen because we don't have any trouble making characters in our squad thanks to the scouting team.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 At his age why would he swap a title challenge and securing Champions League Football season for a securing safety challenge at Chelski? If and I personally feel it's still a big if he was going to leave it would be for a definitive CL team and not til the Summer if atall. Why would he want to leave us now with what we're fighting for and what he's been a massive part of?

No first team player in the right mind will leave, other than to join Arsenal, Tottenham or Man City in this January window. We are top of the league and are still in the hunt for the league title. If you join a Liverpool, Chelsea etc ..... when will you get that chance again? .... as a first team player? Incidentally, Vardy has looked better since Kevin Phillips left the club.
