Transfer strategy for the Summer

We can do better than Rondon. He'd cost loads as well.

Buying from Premier League clubs is going to be an even bigger mugs game in the next couple of years than it was before. You'll get nowhere near value for your money.

I'm totally behind Gerard's idea - you're best getting bargains in France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Portugal etc... and leagues like that.

Well, if anyone would know it would be a former marketing director of another club.

Haha, fair point, but just worried a little as I get the feeling that Mahrez's agent has been busy lining up clubs for the summer. Hope I'm wrong!

If any player leaves this summer it will be Mahrez.

For two reasons. He'll be courted by the very top teams. And he's our only player who can change a game out of literally nothing. Such players are at a premium.

Assuming Mahrez leaves my depth chart for next season would be:

Schmeichel

GOALKEEPER

Simpson

RIGHT BACK

Morgan

Huth

CENTRE BACK

Wasilewski

Fuchs

Chilwell

Kante

Drinkwater

King

Amartey

James / CENTRE MID

Albrighton

Schlupp

RIGHT MIDFIELD/WINGER

Gray

Vardy

STRIKER

Okazaki

Ulloa

So that would leave us needing a good quality starting Striker and Right Midfielder, a reliable backup goalkeeper and more depth at RB, CM and CH.

I love these little hints. I'll guess this is Redmond.

my thought too. I hear a lot of people say he's overrated but he's still young and every time I've seen him play he's looked great. Id take him but obviously at the right price. If him and Sisto join us on the wings this summer then we're done with wingers

We will lose at least one even if we do possibly. I can't see one of europes elite not coming in for kante.

Like Liverpool or Manchester United perhaps!

Where would Kante go, who would want him that could get him? PSG? - I don't think so. Barca or Real Madrid? I don't think so.

Bayern? I can't see it.

One or two in Italy? an outside chance, but again I can't see it. All these so called big clubs are frightened to buy players that are not seen as being hugely expensive. I just do not see it happening.

It makes no sense that the buying policies of these 'top clubs' is based on high cost as well as high performance levels, not just high performance levels. If Kante and Riyad had cost us £25 million each, top European clubs would be falling over themslves to give us £50 million or more each to buy them now.

However, they cannot trust their own judgement, unless the player is under 21 when they might take a risk because it would be 'under the radar'. The fans of these clubs demand expensive acquisitions, and that is what they get.

Furthermore, because we got them cheap no big club is going to offer us their true value because they would look stupid for having missed them in the first place, and we will not be prepared to accept less than their true value.

Riyad and N'Golo will be with us next season playing in the Champions League!

Balotelli faltering again at Milan. There was a ridiculous rumour linking him to us in the summer based on some offhand comment CR gave about him once. Would seem less ridiculous now. Could our old Italian be the one to finally get the best out of him?

Can't decide if I'm joking tbh

I'd like to see us move some of the players out on loan on for decent fees too. Players like Benalouane and Kramaric for whom we paid sizeable fees are assets we should be looking to recoup a decent sum for. Obviously their value has probably declined and clubs, particularly foreign clubs, won't match the prices we paid but at the same time not seeing them sold for peanuts would be good.

Could do with Norwich getting relegated

pinto was probably the only player that looked half decent when we played them, although I do rate Redmond

Is this a Joke?

They are only entertaining offers of 40m+

And in the current climate, he's probably worth it.

Lukaku has everything. Pace, power, strong in the air and a good finisher. One of the best pound for pound strikers in the country, if not Europe.

I reckon we should go for Slimani, Feghouli or Brahimi , along with Mahrez they would be our Algerian version to the AC Milans Dutch version of Guillit, Van Bastan and Rijkaard.

This could also persuaded Mahrez to stick it out a bit longer at Leicester  :yesyes:

Go back to all the players who rejected Leicester and offer them 50% of our original offer.

Slimani, Austin, Veretout

and see if they kick up a fuss to join now! I bet there's a few agents with sore b( )ll( )ks.

Only player I'd take from Norwich is John Ruddy as back up for Kasper.

I reckon we could have a thing with Naismith. Hope not though, we want better.
