Aus Fox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Knowing the FA and pundits the list will probably be: Rooney Smalling Henderson Milner Kane Sterling
benpicko Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 For me danny drinkwater has been the most consistent - obviously vardy and mahrez provide those moments of genius and significance - but danny is always good for 90 mins of every game This. Always good when he's played and controls the match with Kanté or without him, whereas those few matches during which he was injured we had basically no control in midfield whatsoever
fridoux Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Kante has been the best player in the Prem by a country mile, Vardy & Mahrez have done the business with goals & assists but they have gone through inconsistent periods. Kante has been consistent, if it wasn't for him & Drinkwater I believe we wouldn't be top. As for players from other sides, Alderweireld, Alli & Payet have impressed me the most. what if mahrez name was james peters
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 just published yesterday.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru6o-_VuXlg Says it all reallyFans of others clubs saying Mahrez Up the Foxes
Oswinner Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 If the season finished today Mahrez Vardy Kante Payet Ozil Alli Mahrez win Player Alli wins Young Player Vardy wins Top Scorer Still, 9 games to go, all can change.
RowlattsFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Isn't the award voted by the players? Or is there different awards. The players usually vote around January so I wouldn't be surprised if Vardy features quite heavily. I can see Payet winning the 'writers' award, with a London bias.

I can see Payet winning the 'writers' award, with a London bias. yeah there's a players and a writers. the players is always shit because, as you say, I'm pretty sure they vote at like half way. probably right when ozil was on a run of like 10 assists in 7 games and arsenal were odds on for the league... and the writers one is shit because they've never heard of anyone outside london. scott parker won it one year ffs.
Staffs Fox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I think people paranoia is getting the best of them, Mahrez or Vardy will 100% win PFA POTY, most likely Mahrez We will also have 4 players in the TOTY in my opinion (should be 7 but that'd unprecedented)
erlee Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Mahrez + Vardy HEAD 2 HEAD = maybe joint winners?? But for me Vardy just by a hairline -simply becos he broke the record
Guest ttfn Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Only way one of Vardy or Mahrez isn't winning the award is if the vote gets split and some randomer steals in like the year Ginola won it.
ScouseFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 i think it depends exactly when the players vote. it's usually "early february". if it was on the 1st feb aka before vardy's goal against liverpool, ozil will win it. if it's after that, vardy will win it. if it's after mahrez's goal against man city, he will win it.
LanguedocFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Rooney Kane Welbeck Sturridge Wiltshire Rashford That is, of course, assuming that Hodgson picks the contenders.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Mahrez Kane Vardy Payet Dele Alli Ighalo will be the shortlist
LanguedocFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Interesting stats here: http://www.oulala.com/en/community/blog/item/mahrez-hazard-stats Mahrez is already better than Eden Hazard, who won it last year.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 The next nine games will determine if it's Vardy or Mahrez.
Sampson Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Wouldn't surprise me if Vardy won PFA POTY and Mahrez won the Writers' POTY. Given that the PFA one is voted for in February and the Writers' one is voted for later. It'd actually be nice if one of them won one and the other won the other.

We might not be top without Kante. We definitely wouldn't be top without Mahrez. I don't believe Mahrez gets the credit he fully deserves from Leicester fans, we'll miss him when he's gone. I'm hoping hat will be at least another year just yet. The best player in Leicester's history.

The best player in Leicester's history. You could say the same with regards to Vardy. Our entire game plan and pressing style starts with him. Both he and Mahrez have been indispensable. Kanté on top of it has made us irresistible!
Stevosevic Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I believe the voting has already been done so every chance it could be Vardy. He's been bookies favourite since about November.
ScouseFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I believe the voting has already been done so every chance it could be Vardy. He's been bookies favourite since about November. ozil was favourite for large parts of the winter. him and vardy have flip flopped most the year tbh with occasional backing for riyad until the last few weeks when he's become big in the market but voting has presumably already been done. it was ozil when they looked like winning the league (after they beat man city and when vardy went 6 or 7 without a goal and mahrez missed two pens in like ten days). vardy was favourite for a few weeks after he broke the record and then again when he scored goal of the season. vardy is fav now by the smallest of margins from riyad.
Max Power Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Vardy will win PFA and Mahrez football writers I think
