Sunderland AFC v Leicester City FC match thread

Is anyone really watching? Nearly every chance we've had has come through Shinji

I agree Vardy and Mahrez have been worse today. He's the weakest player I think I've ever seen though, spends so much time on the deck

Disagree, Sunderland will want a physical battle....we need to keep it on the floor.

Agreed . Kone and Kaboul need to attacked at pace - JV would have had them on toast 6 weeks ago

Think we need to keep hold of the ball for a bit, frustrate their fans because at the minute they're involved and it's probably stifling us.

Final ball seems lacking today, Mahrez is off the pace and Okazaki seems like he'd rather fall over than do something meaningful. Have to step it up in the second half, early subs if no improvement.

0 assists all season. It's not just today for some, the final ball has been lacking all season.

If Carlsberg did biased.

What have they actually offered? It's been scrappy but Morgan's free header on the six yard line has to be the best chance either have had, and there's no arguing the okazaki penalty.

Both sides have been poor and it's been bogged down in midfield, but we've had more shots and better chances.

Kaboul one was more of a pen than Huth's imo. It is tucked in but he makes himself bigger with it. Huth's was in a natural position.

Yes it's frustrating, no we haven't silenced the crowd or taken the sting out of the opposition but we've ridden the storm, I can't see the second half being more of the same, it just seems that we're being outfought physically, maybe Ulloa would cope better than Okazaki. If we can get ahead I'd say King or Amartey for Mahrez but not yet. No one said it would be pretty, just need a bit of calmness in the final third.

Was going to post in the pre match thread that we have no need to panic if we drop points today but I guess thats pretty futile.

I'm in the minority, I know a few have said it but don't think any are penalties. Neither are intentional hand ball and the Okazaki one although there is definitely contact he's trying to play the ball, I would be fuming if that was given against us.

Huth was 0%. Made a tackle withy his hand behind his back, and to support him going to ground. It's gone through his legs. Just what is he supposed to do about that? He's not made himself bigger intentionally, or done it on purpose and the arm is in a naturally position. No way he can move it either. It can never ever be a penalty.

To the letter of the law, the youth one is not a penalty, but it sits in the seen them given category for me

They do get given though is what I meant, would've been incredibly harsh

He won a penalty against Everton which is classified as an assist and was credited for providing Vardy with the second goal against Liverpool.

Get yer facts straight.

Mahrez is a passenger. Play like this second half and we'll come away with nothing.

At times we are so sloppy it's på unbelievable.

Mahrez has scored more winners for us than any other player and created tons of assists. So let's cut him some slack.
