That is just the saddest news. The guy was immensely brave and good humoured, and I was so hoping he would see it through to the end of the season and, we hope, a first top-tier championship.

Condolences to Tony's family. I hope they know that he was a well respected and much loved bloke.

RIP.

Desperately sad news.

Deepest condolences to Tony's family.

I'm not really one for minutes applause at games but somehow it would seem very apt on Sunday. Just to let his family know we are thinking of them and how we appreciated him during his brave battle.

RIP Tony.

Damn it, I hoped he would see it through the season somehow. Indeed, that puts things into perspective.

To think he managed to 'outlive' doctors expectation for so many months, what an amazing spirit.

I raise my glass for you Tony

Here's me feeling sorry for myself because Spurs beat Stoke, then I see this, so so sorry, lost my uncle and best mate the same way a year ago, gutted for him and all those he loved. RIP my friend.x

Let's hope this amazing season helped give him some happiness and relief for him through his terrible ordeal. Awful news, my thoughts are with his family.

At work now and just found out the horrible news, tearing up a bit here.

Rip mate, you never gave up. A Fox, a great man, that just did not quit.

Everytime i see or hear of anyone passing from cancer it makes me teary eyed as I remember my mums battle. It hurts bad. Such a hard thing to go through but you could tell Tony was a class act that anyone would love to have a beer with.

Tony i'm truly sorry your journey ended too soon but i hope you enjoyed life to the fullest.

My condolences to your friends/family and fox nation.

I hope the boys can bring it home for you!

Terrible news, wished he could've made it to the end. Thoughts are with all his friends and family, seemed like a great bloke and stayed positive despite his terrible situation, RIP.
