ceredigion Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 The scenario exists whereby if Liverpool win the Europa League and Man City win the Champions League but finish outside the top four, the team which finishes fourth in the Premier League will not enter the qualification round for the Champions League but will enter the Europa League instead, because no country is allowed to have more than 5 teams playing in the CL in one season. So the team who finish 4th in this scenario will be one of Spurs, Arsenal or Man Utd. It doesn't affect us because we can't finish lower than 2nd now. If it comes to pass, who would you rather see playing Thursday night away games in Turkmenistan, landing on dusty airstrips lit by braziers in a plane whose pilot has consumed a couple of bottles of vodka during the flight and is attempting to land with a unfiltered cigarette protruding from his lips and whose personal hygiene leaves something to be desired?

Man United would be fine with me of the realistic options, but hopefully they just don't catch up with City because it'd probably depend on a result against us.
foxy boxing Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Definitely arsenal there manager/director arsene keeps f#cking it up time after time and the owners r happy with that
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Arsenal after all the and cheating they pulled at the emirates
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Who cares?? All that matters is pot 1. Exactly no one cares about these nobodies
Rushden fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Spurs as they will probably still be roaming the jungle looking for us

Bernie's a pilot?
NotQuiteAFox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Arsenal, purely because the aftermath on ArsenalFanTV would be comedy gold.
Foxbythesea Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Arsenal however I could see West Ham pinching it.

Somewhat irrelevant, but this is an impressive sentence my friend.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 sorry but **** Spurs, read another post on their forum about how much shit they've had to put up through the years and any one who knows anything about football should appreciate their struggle. Which I could go on about for some time but I think league one you idiot covers it. They need 75 points to match the worst ever winning total, the best they can get is 78 which would be up there. Still they seem to think this team they have has a Devine right, embarrassing. Yeah the better teams haven't turned up, if they had they'd be challenging us not you. We can still mess up granted, but there is only one way the worst team in premier league history wins this title and that's if we lose three they win three. So I'd love to seem them finish fourth and lose out for the second time in their history, as for arsenal they look stupid enough having celebrated like it was done after beating us and collapsing.

I love a bit of exuberant purple prose! Arsenal probably deserve it most, but it would be quite amusing seeing it happen to Man Utd....particularly with Liverpool and Man City taking "their" place by the back door.
foxes161 Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Arsenal but maybe they sack wenger if that happens.
foxer Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 I don't care who misses out if it happens, but it would make the 'weak premiership' argument look rather flimsy.
Monsell1976 Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Either Spurs or Arsenal, both have shown this season, what vile delusional teams they are. Both have very good teams, both have vile fans.
