Chris46 Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 I've seen lots of posts recently about plastic fans. I'll put my hands up and say that I supported Arsenal until I was 18 as they were my dad's team and that was how I grew up. This was despite living in Leicester. I never went to an Arsenal game, but went to about 5 Leicester games a season.I realised the error of my ways when I went to uni 12 years ago - everyone supported a big team. I'm proud of where I'm from, and so I made the switch to Leicester. I've been to about 100 games since then, including some league one games. Does this make me a plastic fan? I did support Arsenal when I was younger, but am never changing back. Leicester is my city and my club. If I could go back,I'd have made my dad buy me a Leicester shirt when I was 5 instead of an Arsenal one! Edit: only joined today as I'm not a big forum user, have been looking at this site for years.just joined to post this and get thoughts
Fox 4 Life Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 A plastic for me is someone that started supporting us when we were in the prem or worse off, this season. You sir are not a plastic you just saw sense later than most!
TrentFox Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 I think you just need to increase your circle of friends and probably take more exercise. Quetiapine might also be worth considering. You'll be fine.
silebyboy Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 If you have to ask yourself if you're plastic, you probably are.
NeilLCFC Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 If you supported us when we were shit, you're not plastic.
Matt Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 If you have to ask yourself if you're plastic, you probably are. Paranoid. I think people being concerned about being a plastic make more of a big thing about it that the people accusing people of being plastics.
Aus Fox Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 Stand next to the fire place and put it on full for half an hour- if you melt you'll know the answer
ealingfox Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 So you stopped supporting Arsenal when they stopped winning trophies?
AKCJ Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 "Plastic" is the worst term in football. You say you support Leicester. Providing you only support Leicester then that is good enough for me.
Guest Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 On a day like today who gives a toss? If you've been around for yonks supporting then I suspect if we achieve the miraculous today then it will feel a little sweeter than if not but honestly who gives a **** today?
wignalll2007 Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 I hate all this plastic shit, it really gets on my nerves! We need to expand our fan base to grow as a club, get on board, the more the merrier.

Itsthejoeker Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 I literally couldn't give a **** when someone started supporting us, as long as they keep pumping money into the club through shirt sales and get behind the team like everyone else. I don't get this obsession with some fans being better than others.
VLC86 Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 In response to the title, the best way to try is to get a lighter and put the flame on your arm. If it stinks and ou start to drip you are, if it doesn't you are just a bit of a dick for trying.
Clever Fox Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 It's great what an Education can do for you. Now even supporting the best club in the land. Your a true Fan and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I've always supported Leicester despite many of my friends supporting the big clubs. Anyone can support a big club. But it's a lot more satisfying when a Club like ours does it the old fashioned way, by building a Team from Skill. Instead of spending hundreds of millions on elite players who have no connection to the Fans. It's Leicester all the way. Enjoy today.
Ric Flair Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 If you have the ability to change clubs and have the passion and love that fans do of their club then fair play. All that matters is Leicester are your club and that's that.
stretch1965 Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 I'll ask the wife for you mate, she's an expert she spends enough on it
foxes161 Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 If you supported us when we were shit, you're not plastic. amen
Sionnach gorm Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 Those are called youthful indiscretions. Go to confession, a small pilgrimage, penance and you'll be right as rain!
Izzy Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 Those are called youthful indiscretions. Go to confession, a small pilgrimage, penance and you'll be right as rain! Today feels like the right time for me to confess to a sin of 30 years ago. I'm ashamed to admit I had a one season 'affair' with Everton the year Lineker joined them. I was so gutted he left us and was so annoyed we sold him that I started following Evertons results and hoped he'd win the golden boot. I never went to an Everton game but I did have 'feelings' for them during that season. They were a great team and I feel guilty as hell now looking back. But luckily I saw the error of my ways and rekindled my love for Leicester the next season and have never strayed again since. Please forgive me. I feel cleansed now
Littletoe Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 If you were upset when Stoke sent us down to League 1, or felt sick to your stomach when Deeney scored that last minute goal in the play off semis. Then I don't consider anyone a plastic. A plastic to me, is someone who wasn't phased or supportive during the horrid moments we've had to endure over the years, but plays happy smiles and fake cheers when we are winning.
