His loss and our gain by the sound of it.

However, Dembélé has admitted he is not interested in joining the Premier League champions. “I had Claudio Ranieri on the phone,” he told Ouest-France. “I was surprised to hear from him, I told him that I will not go to Leicester. He does not speak very good French.”

Dortmund are the 11th biggest income club in the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deloitte_Football_Money_League

The one thing I notice about German clubs are they are more frugal with their money and don't make many bad VFM buys unlike English clubs who will buy any old rubbish for silly amounts.

Is that adjusted for the tv money though? I thought I read somewhere that everyone was suddenly going to rocket into the top standings. Maybe not but either way there are still five English teams above them, four of which have been linked to the kid.

Probably got his heart set on Bayern but knows the only way to get there is to pledge undying allegiance to Dortmund only to move on to Bayern a couple of years down the line!

Not bothered about anybody that doesn't want to play here. It's their loss. I want 100% from every player.

And that applies to current players too.

That was the figures for 2014/15 season.

The point being though is Dortmund are a rich club and have similar financial power to Tottenham.

Genuinely dont ever remember a direct quote from Kante saying that.

Which is my point, certain social media outlets at the time suggested that Kante didn't want to move to us.....don't believe anything until it's confirmed.

That sounds like we've approached the prettiest girl in the room and she's not even let us down gently.

That's ok but dissing the Don is not.

One thing is for sure that any player in the world would sign for us unless they're playing for about the world's twenty top clubs or so.

The only caveat to that is if they're at a club like Rennes but are being pursued by more attractive clubs than ourselves.Dembele would join us in a heartbeat if his only two options were us or staying at Rennes.

As reported before.

Dembele tells Ranieri: I am not going to Leicester

Ousmane Dembele knows where his future lies, and it is not at Premier League champions Leicester City. In-demand Rennes forward Ousmane Dembele says he has told Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri he will not be joining the Premier League champions. Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been linked with Dembele, who is also said to be a target for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. The 18-year-old Dembele has scored 12 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances this season for Rennes. Dembele said he knows where his future lies, but it is not at the King Power Stadium. He told Ouest France: "Yes I spoke with Claudio Ranieri. I told him that I am not going to Leicester. "I know where I am going. I spent six wonderful years at Stade Rennais.... I'm proud of what I've achieved at the club."

More made up stories from unreliable sources.

I cannot imagine this talented young player has said anything about Leicester to any one other than his agent.

Deals are brokered over time and in confidence which is why the pissed off journo's spout this crap.

Wait and see, when the deal is done it will be reported in the mainstream.

Dont care how good this guy is, sounds like a jumped up cunt who needs a smack.

Does he? For being honest and saying his head is set on a move somewhere else?

My God we're a precious bunch. The guy is one of the hottest properties in world football, we've had a ridiculous season but we need to sustain it yet.

It's his arrogant comments that irk not his ambition

Do we even know he said this? Is he on video saying he doesn't want to come to Leicester?

If not, its likely bullsh*t by the media. Do people really fall for this? lol
