foxy boxing Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 inevitable that he was going to be sacked,he is a defensively poor manager. likes his teams to play passing football which is admirable but defenders are defenders first and foremost and if in doubt should kick the ball out(or away) instead of passing it round the back and getting caught in possesion. john stones has gone backwards as a defender under him and has barkley improved enough,i don't think so

At least they've spared him the abuse he'd be getting at the last game of the season. I always thought he was good, but blimey, he's lost his way of late hasn't he?

Leicesterpool Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Yeah probably the right decision for Everton, they've been pretty poor last couple of seasons and looking at there squad they've majorily underachived this season. Shame a decent a guy but I always thought the Everton would be one too big for him, he did alright in his first term but never could repeat it. As mentioned in other threads I think someone like Eddie Howe would be good appointment for them.

I was surprised that he got the job in the first place. Thought he'd proven me wrong in his first season, but it turns out I was right about him. Can't see him getting another job in England, myself.
