st albans fox Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Even those who were staunchly pro wenger in our office have now changed their minds. My partner won't go next season if he is still in charge. The second half in Munich seemed to be the last straw. I think the board will encourage him not to renew his contract.

He doesn't look at Ibrahimovic, he attempts to jump over him but catches Rooney and that means he doesn't get the full leap he intends. Either way, Ibrahimvic couldn't see Mings so he has no idea if he's done it intentionally. What follows is obviously intentional, and is disgusting. Mings' incident is open to interpretation but the second one isn't. Should be a massive ban for Ibra, probably won't be though. He'll get off scott free whilst Mings will get 4 games. Ibra should have had a retrospective ban for an incident at palace. Same thing as drinks got three games for. I wouldn't expect them to ban him. Probably scared of him and Jose!

Vacamion Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Is is it too much to expect Sam Vokes to say, "actually ref, that's not a peno, it hit my arm".

Footballwipe Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Just checking the thread to see if we've managed to find out whether Sean Dyche has ever taken responsibility for a defeat rather than blaming the referees/something conspiring against his team? No? Thought not
SpacedX Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 5 hours ago, erlee said: K, Friend, Matley & J Moss.. the 3 worst PL officials Disagree. It's very difficult to rank them and like the players around them, their performances too can be erratic - which they shouldn't be and a lack of continuity is one of the most infuriating things for a football fan. But they clearly need more assistance. Some of Pawson's 'decisions' have been unfathomable this season and Mike Dean rarely has a good game (although I felt he performed well yesterday). I think you mean Madeley, who against Spurs away, I struggled to recall a game of football so plagued by interruptions and discontinuity - (barring 'CüNeyT' Çakır, the guy in charge of our home leg against Porto). Against Middlesborough at the Riverside in January however, he was superb. Your view of an official tends to be tainted if your team has been on the end of a series of poor decisions or affected by a bad performance. Jon Moss will always be remembered for the dismissal of Vardy and then subsequently spectacularly losing control of the game. West Ham fans won't remember him fondly either after the penalty awarded against Carrol in extra time. As incompetent as they may seem, these guys are struggling with the pace and intensity of the game and officiating needs reform. Football does not lend itself to TMO, but fans can hardly claim a review system would upset the continuity of the game given the fact that we have players theatrically hurling themselves to the floor every thirty seconds in addition to grossly extravagant celebrations. I also detest the shite that the officials have to endure week in week out from players, the stands and sometimes the bench. I understand that an Ifab meeting is imminent to discuss the possibility of video review - particularly pertinent following last weekend's Gabbiadini travesty. David Elleray who is now a technical director is very behind this in addition to the possibility of sin bins and increasing the role and responsibility of the Captain, so that he is the only player on the field allowed to converse with the Referee.

It was like an old fashioned Saturday Matinee yesterday with Ibrahimovic as Flash B*****d vs Mings the Merciless, co starring the Utd team as Hawkmen (flying around at every opportunity).

I agree with your reasoning, there is so much at stake now financially it must be when rather than if....although it might upset some of the big boys as it's difficult to slip a brown envelope to a machine....

Corky Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Aitor Karanka delivered a brilliant season last year in getting promoted, following on from a play-off final defeat. Reading the Mirror this morning and apparently some fans want him out and chanted it at the game yesterday. And it proves that football fans will never change- you always want the best for your club and if you don't feel it is happening you'll voice your opinions, regardless of previous success.
StanSP Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Did Dyche say anything about the handball decision that somehow went in their favour for the penalty?! He talked about Llorente's push on Mee for Swansea's 3rd in the post-match interview. Moaned about decisions going against them and having a few go against them this season...

I've only seen his MOTD interview and I'm pretty sure he didn't mention it there.
Wymsey Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Sean Dyche is the type of person that goes to McDonald's and complains that he didn't receive change in coins after spending £20 on a £5 large Big Mac meal.
StanSP Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 watching MOTD highlights of the Ibra/Mings elbow incident. Rojo gestures a few times to the officials that there was an elbow so I can only presume he thought Mings elbowed Ibra win which case he had no idea what happened . Nutter. 27 minutes ago, Facecloth said: I've only seen his MOTD interview and I'm pretty sure he didn't mention it there. yeah that's what I've seen.

Gray's second goal was offside too. Dyche is an embarrassment. Would love the, to get drawn into the relegation scrap.
AjcW Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Away from Dyche but slightly linked.... how on earth did Stoke sanction the signing of Berahino? Because he's competiting with dyche in the weight stakes!

United fans will argue Ibrahimovic corner whilst Bournemouth fans will argue Mings corner. Sure but as a complete and total neutral - they were both red card offences but if the officials had seen Mings' then Ibrahimovic's would never have happened. I'd personally consider jumping on someone's head with your studs to be worse than elbowing them but yknow.
