The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Why is Jorge Sampaoli not a candidate? Get him in hes gone sevilla
Donut Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Feels that way. Crouch just inadvertently summed it up Presenter- Peter, Gareth Southgate as the next manager Crouch- Yeah why not Ive been perhaps over optimistic about this England team, but thats the worst international performance ive ever seen. That for me is worse than the Faroes beating Greece. England should have comfortably beaten Iceland. The list of candidates for manager is totally appaling GET JORGE SAMPAOLI IN hes gone sevilla Didnt realise that, i wont suggest his name again
simFox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 I cringe everytime Kane sets about with a set piece. We've got this premier league mentality to play the best performing league players, then play then out of position with tactics that don't suit them. We just need a team, a team that can play. Get looking down the lower leagues if you need to and form a squad with a tactical plan. What a shocking display.
foxfanazer Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Eddie Howe for me and that doesn't even fill me with much confidence
Tielemans63 Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Laughing stock. Thank god we've just won the league.Wish I hadn't done a deal with the devil now:Me: I'd give anything to see Leicester win the league Devil: I can arrange that but in exchange the country's economy will go to shit. England will crash out of the Euros in the most embarrassing way ever and pretty much the entire country will fall apart. Me: Hmmm..its a deal. Guest Col city fan Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Where was ANY sort of apology in Woys little speech? He's just destroyed the team and the national game

But can you truly say England have been performing better than Iceland in any of the group games?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 I was worried when Hodgson selected the team today... and was proven I had every right to be, just as I was worried when Hodgson selected the team and then the formation and tactics being used before the tournament began
promised land Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Laughing stock. Thank god we've just won the league. This ^^^^, I'll never see England win anything but leicester winning the premier league in the fashion we did means much more than lifting the euro trophy in July. Something we won and I can say I was there for and part of the city born and bred.
foxfanazer Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 What are they talking about. How many premier league players play for the other countries?
The Guvnor Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Oh well at least Woy was right to have taken Wilshere
Dr The Singh Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Oh well at least Woy was right to have taken WilshereWoy is always right
ScouseFox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 just don;t get it. when do players stop being fans? fans care. give a shit. player just strolling round like its a friendly. people smashing up pubs with rage an basically our whole squad cant even muster a half hearted tackle. fu ck them all. pricks
shen Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 It's easy to point the finger at Joe Hart for making (another) basic error which led to a goal but football is a game of 90 minutes and many small incidents which lead (or in England's case don't lead) to incidents on which the game is decided. Today Harry Kane routinely failed to show for the ball. When he did he invariably lost it. He over hit virtually all every set piece he took. He tripped over the ball three or for times. He barely ever got himself in goal scoring positions. In short he hid and when he did show I wished he was still hiding. Daniel Sturridge's second touch was a tackle almost every time he got it. Jack Wilshere was horrendous. Over hit several passes and many of the ones he did complete were just behind his team mates so that we lost all momentum. All this whilst a key member of the league champions was watching the game on TV. It's not Hart's fault we went out. He takes a huge chunk of the responsibility but the utter failure of the 10 in front of him to create even one chance in the 70 minutes after we went behind says everything. Absolutely ashamed to be English; dreadful display from players who played without any belief, quality or (most damningly of all) COMMON SENSE. Congratulations to Iceland, by far the better team who deserved to progress. Your very worst culprit was Rooney. He looked like an amateur. He must have lost the ball a dozen of times and looked like he was closer to 50 than 30. Doesn't help that Kane is taking free kicks and corners... it's headpalm-ingly shocking stuff. Take of Dier in the second half? Really? The only player who's looked capable at this level and who on top of that took ONE free kick which was excellent and scored? It's almost like Hodgson sabotaged the team on purpose.
simFox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Iceland coach interview: didn't even need to put another central defender in, weren't pushed at all, no stress. Well done Iceland, well deserved.

EastAnglianFox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Who will be next captain then? As I expect Rooney will do the right thing and retire from international football immediately.
The Doctor Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Scotland laughs itself to death over the England football team every other year tbf

foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Scotland laughs itself to death over the England football team every other year tbf Maybe they should concentrate on actually qualifying rather than relying on other teams to bring them excitement
