Be interesting to see how he'd get on, from what I've seen he looks quality, maybe even better than Mendy? Seriously though, do people think we need another CM? We have Drinky, Mendy, Amartey, King, Inler, James. Same amount as last season and 3 of those hardly played. If we do sign someone though, I would love Carvalho, only player that would come close to Kante IMO
foxes21 Posted 15 July 2016 Author Posted 15 July 2016 Vladimir Darida. Averages 13km+ per game, relatively fast, energetic, creative, box to box cm. Real Madrid were looking at both Kante & Darida, as they have similar attributes in terms of work rate. Darida's more attack minded than defensive minded though.

We need to evolve this season and whilst Kante was undeniably brilliant and key to winning the title, it may be we are better suited with say Mendy and Amartey perhaps? France were actually better without Kante in the Euros dedpite the final loss. Onwards.

He hasn't got the pace or energy of Kante, so we'd have to play differently if we wanted to accommodate him. It's gonna be tough. I think Kante is the best in the world at the mo, at what he does.

We won the league playing 442/4411, both wingers provided a hell of a lot for us, why would we move away from that!? I think because a trusted ITK hinted that would be the case. However having today watched the full 7 minute BBC interview with Ranieri (from yesterday), he suggests that we will be sticking to 442, at least for the time being. Really don't know why everyone keeps mentioning Mendy & Amartey, Mendy is totally different and usually plays in a midfield three. As for Amartey we still don't know his best position, Ranieri may see his future at RB or even CB.
