foxes21 Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Just preparing for the worse, if he does go who should we get to replace him? We won't be able to play 4-4-2 without him. However, he is very replaceable in a 4-3-3 IMO. A creative minded, box to box cm would be a good replacement for him. I feel like we need 2 CM's if he goes. If he does go I'd like us to sign Robbie Brady, as I think he has potential in the CM role. And keeping it on the French side of things, we should bid for Morgan Sanson also.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 If we're talking of a creative minded midfielder, I would still try to sign Sigurdsson. He'd fit in well here and we'd spending money on a proven, quality Premier League midfielder. He's a goalscorer and provides goals/chances for others too.
Fox92 Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Why do I keep seeing people posting about a 433 all of a sudden? We won the league playing 442/4411, both wingers provided a hell of a lot for us, why would we move away from that!?
Poznan34 Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Gueye from Villa had the most similar number of interceptions and tackles per game from last season. Could be worth a punt and shouldn't cost too much.

If we can't find a play with similar stamina then it will be hard for us not to get run over in the midfield.
Foxy_jim Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 William Carvalho can sit, Steven N Zonzi would be good if he fancied coming back to England, Fernando from Man City, Steven Davis from saints, Kouyate from spam, bonaventura from Milan, all decent options within a 30m price bracket.
tsintskaro Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Mendy is classic DM We need someone more creative Joao Mario is too expensive i prefer Lemina We will see,i am sure club will bring someone new soon

Wishful thinkers trying to stuff Mendy/Drinkwater/Kanté and/or Mahrez/Musa/Vardy into a lineup. I think we need an alternative strategy when there isn't space but those lineups aren't built around that strategy.
TheMightySystem Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Mendy, Amartey, Choudhury. Would much rather bring through Choudhury then buy another player.

escos Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 I think Amartey could prove to be a fantastic signing this season.

filbertstreet Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Choudhury isn't ready he has the afro of a man ready to win the champions league far as I'm concerned
