justfoxes Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Sky sports are reporting that we are favourites to sign Theo Walcott from Arsenal behind West Ham, Turnng the tables on Arsenal hopefully they don't come back and say swap for Mahrez plus £10m to us ! cant see him coming he will want to stay in London !!
ClaphamFox Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 It's not exactly turning the tables. Most of their fans would love to see Walcott go - they don't rate him at all. And I fear that if he does come, it will indeed mean that Mahrez goes the other way.
Finnegan Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Don't want. Would if he stayed fit, obviously an okay footballer, but he's made of glass.

Albrighton was made of glass at Villa, can't remember him missing a minute here through injury. Arsenal have the most appalling injury record, it seems widely accepted they are doing something very wrong in training / conditioning by their own fans.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Turning the tables would be slapping a 10m bid in for Ozil.

Agree and I've said that before but Walcott is a special case. Most people just don't have the body to be a professional athlete and I've a strong suspicion that Theo Walcott is one of us normals.
norwichfox Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 make that Sanchez or Ramsey....in fact anyone but Walcott, he's not a player I've ever really warmed to, and he's spent a lot of time on the injury list: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/theo-walcott/verletzungen/spieler/33713

When you say sky sports are reporting, what exactly did they report. Was this just the papers section where they read out rumours?
Bayfox Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Turning the tables would be a £35 million bid for sanchez.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Imagine Vardy, Musa and Walcott playing on the counter........

Meant to put Sky Bet also but saw it here might be nothing but might be something especially when Sky Bet set the odds http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/07/26/turning-the-tables-odds-cut-on-leicester-signing-arsenal-attacke/

m4DD0gg Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 If our fitness team could keep him fit and Ranieri install him with a brain i think he would be great. Cant see him making the move outside of London nor do i think we would stump up his ridiculous wages.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 I wouldn't mind Walcott he would suit our style perfectly. He's like Vardy in the respect that he doesn't suit arsenal's style of player they're technically the best. But the key is player to their strengths which we do with Vardy & arsenal don't do with Walcott. I am worried about the number of wingers getting linked with us. I understand the young polish lad as he's up & coming but IF we sign Walcott then surely someone is on there way out?
Realist Guy In The Room Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Walcott is an excellent player. Top quality and exceeds all of our current wingers/attacking midfielders with the exception of Mahrez in every area. His problem is he plays for Arsenal and as has been said, they have no idea how to handle player fitness. We do. If Walcott was available for £10m, that is an absolute steal.
ealingfox Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Please god no. He is dog muck, made of biscuits and on 150+ grand a week. Do not gerrimin.

He's 8/1 to sign for us, 5/1 for West Ham and 1/5 to stay at Arsenal. Guess Sky are technically correct but doesn't look likely at all..
Tielemans63 Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 If this is based on SkyBet odds then it means less than fvck all.
Callabinho Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 Can we bid for Lacazette? Just to royally piss them off.
Nick Posted 27 July 2016 Posted 27 July 2016 So is this just a straight purchase not with Mahrez going the other way or any anything else unpalatable? I've always (tad controversially) wanted both Walcott and the Ox but I doubt either will come here because we won't pay the same wages nor are we based 90 miles south of our current location. This is hot air methinks.
