Rejecting a contract isn't a big deal. What's he have to do, accept the first offer or he's a traitor? Precedent has been set unfortunately when you give your keeper who was competent but far from outstanding 100k a week for winning the league the midfield engine that played nearly every game is going to want parity at least.

He won't be on that without all the bonus' that his agent could think of inc PL and CL winners medals. Drinks will sign a new deal. He knows we won't sell him. Maybe the mahrez deal will now stop the nonsense in the press where clubs think they can just pluck our players from our squad.

This last major distraction is not doing the team any good although he himself played well last game. Now Mahrez has committed to 4 years we are very close to a focused team mindset going forward. Sign Drinkwater to a wage this week please.
