Matt Posted 28 August 2016 Posted 28 August 2016 I think contract talks would have stalled because I doubt they even began. We all know Fuchs' desire of going off to America when he's finished here to be with his family, I never saw him signing a new contract anyway. Going nowhere.

But I don't see him signing a new one for a longer term at lpool and I don't see them paying for a player on an 18 month deal! We we need him and chillers over the next six months - I can't see we would sell him. We were expecting him to leave for nowt end 2017/18 so rejecting any offers looses us nowt.

Probably looked at all the new contracts being dished out, realized that Fuchs hadn't got one, made assumptions and then linked him with a high profile club who need a left back. It's really quite pathetic, so treat this with the contempt it deserves.

That said, Fuchs has said Leicester will be his last club in Europe. His wife is American and he wants to end his career in America. Stranger things has happened though.
