We Only need a CM & to drop Musa & Slimani they're only in the team because of their price tags. Fitting them into the title winning team has cost us in a number of ways... I'm fed up of reading we've been sussed out or we couldn't repeat last season.

Been stated on here he plays in a midfield 3? Everything I've read also points to an attacking midfield role.

He started off as a striker but he has been moved further back by his Portuguese side and national team. He has been playing both central midfield and left midfield over the previous months.

if we havent already identified someone for centre mid and are not planning on buying him the first few days in january i will have lost hope.

Arsenal might be trying to tap up, Paredes Grrrrr. Haven't they got enough midfielders?!  He's exactly what we need, box to box, young, ball sticks to him like glue, fantastic passing range and he's got a nasty streak.

We have tried to sign Chalobah previously under Ranieri, not sure Chelsea will let him go but if we are serious he might want to come here and get more game time, if that's possible. We seem incapable of giving young players regular games.

True, he's not going to take Kante or Matic's place anytime soon, Matic is only 28. Chalobah will only start cup games for at least a year.

How many players do you think we need to sign in January? I'd say two-three on the basis of our current squad, which is on the assumption nobody leaves. Do we need any more additions than three? I've mentioned before our squad is very good, but for me it's just a case of a few additions here and there.

one CB, a CM and maybe a RB . 

 

Benny should also be given a squad number .
