I am surprisingly confident about this one. Manure are slow and panicked at the back, with no real pace (apart from Rashford) going forward. Could see Mahrez having a field day!

Sorry what...??

Bailly is absolutely rapid and has been good so far and Smalling / Blind are hardly slow!

And going forward rashford & martial are probably two of the quickest players in the league and Lingard is hardly slow. And two of the most athletic full backs in the league with Shaw / Valencia

And Mahrez didn't have a kick last time in the community shield vs them..

Hoping Shaw is out and Mahrez has a better game though..

Mourino likely has tactics for Vardy and Mahrez, but with the relative unknown of Slimani in the mix, it will be harder to plan for and deal with. And I'm massively looking forward to it for that reason.

The big advantage is the many options we have for attack up front instead of the one dimensional approach of supplying Vardy. Or Mahrez coming inside. For a start Slimani will provide support to the other two and likewise them for Slimani. But just as important they can hold up the Ball allowing our midfield to get forward in support of them.

This is a big plus because how many times have we seen the Ball come right back at us when Vardy wasn't able to get onto the end of things. Then when you add Slimani's goal scoring ability we have a real potent strike force. We just need a quality Midfielder in January to pull the strings as our midfield is slightly lacking quality.

Why wish that...Arent you confident we are good enough..??

LOL!!!! Im surprised you ask me why I want our club to have an edge?! I dont care who we play, I want the odds to be on our side. I predicted on the Man U - City thread earlier that I think if we stick to our game plan we will win 2-1 or 3-1 IMO. However, they will be a damn sight easier to beat had they lost tonight and were in further turmoil. That doesnt mean we couldnt beat them at full strength and at their best on their own patch but the selfish part of me wants it as "easy" as possible.

Did you see the 2 games before the EFL? I would argue most played well, Albrighton, Mahrez, Slimani and Fuchs are in very good form. Honestly this forum baffles me, why so many moany cvnts.

I said midfield battle as in the centre of midfield. Hence out of United and Leicester central midfielders only Drinkwater is in form.

It was more of a dig at United's lack of presence there to be honest. But read what you want from it - enough to use an offensive term

I see Mike Bloody Dean is the ref for this.  That will be a penalty to them then from a corner and an inevitable booking and possible red for Huth.  Oh dear, the omens aren't good.  Turn up aka Bruges we should be ok turn up aka Liverpool and Hull I fear another loss.

Is this an autocorrect gone wrong or am I missing a word that people use? haha

I can already picture Dean running upto one of our players and brandishing a second yellow and red leaving the whole stadium perplexed. Fellaini probably elbows Amartey and goes down clutching his arm.

I would be surprised if he has left his bed yet. He looked nearly dead after 50 minutes, not to mention the extra 50 minutes he did after.

On tuesday, he looked like he was Carrying his bed with him...

He meant we can either have Bruges, Liverpool, or Hull ice cream with our game on saturday and the latter are terrible.

Been considering this afternoon how we might shape up for this, here's two formations that I think could be both effective and in contention. The 4-4-2 that I've written is the same team from Burnley, and I suppose the argument goes do not change a winning team. However, away from home, and others have alluded to this, perhaps we need a three man midfield, so the 4-3-1-2 formation reflects this. I'd be tempted to start Okazaki but of course Slimani bagged a brace on his debut, as did Okazaki v Chelsea in the Cup netting two as well. So both worthy of starting.

4-4-2

Schmeichel

Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs

Mahrez Drinkwater Amartey Albrighton

Vardy Slimani

4-3-1-2

Schmeichel

Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs

Amartey King Drinkwater

Mahrez

Vardy Slimani

Just don't see why anyone would include King in a starting line-up. He offers so little and we would really miss Albrighton's work rate in defence and in attack. First formation is spot on and think it's what we will go for. I think Amartey needs to prove he is good enough for us to continue with the 442 that served us so well last year. A big performance from him, and I think we can win it.

Yes, Zlatan is ''world class'', but been quite unimpressed with him. Either is lacking in confidence or lazy I'm unsure.

Martial should be more of a marked man as he's skilful on the ball and with his pace could cause the CB's problems.

Okay... i'm never one to bring up extravagance... but the lads are currently flying to Manchester. I mean that's completely ridiculous isn't it? Surely it takes longer to get them all to east mids on a plane of it and then to a hotel in Manc than it would to get on the club coach! lollol

Utd got the train down to Watford last week for christ sake!

Meh... i'm not complaining but it does seem silly, London... Wales... North East/South West I can completely understand, but Manchester! lol

I Think we'll go with the same line up as last week against Burnley. I just hope DD recovers sufficiently from last night to exertions to play well. He's such a big player for us right now.

I doubt Mendy will play and so it's a big ask of Amartey with his level of experience.

It's hard to call it because a lot will depend on which Utd turns up. Their nervous and vulnerable at the minute. If we get at them and go ahead they may collapse.

I'd like to see us go 3 at the back and 4 across the middle bringing Schlupp on the left and move Albrighton to the right. And 3 up top. Our top three will frighten and worry them, forcing to keep more players bak in defence. This should help ease the pressure on our midfield, giving them a little time and space.

I believe we can win but right now I'd take a Draw.

Schlupp?

Ffs he is a bag of s**t.

How do you not know this?

Referee is becoming the most important position for us with some shocking decisions not being given against 'the bigger teams' .....bless your life.

Haven't I heard about the big team bias before. Yes ****ing have and it's now becoming glaringly obvious.

This season already we've suffered against Arsenal and Chelsea, let's see if we get a fair crack of the whip tomorrow.

Getting sick of the bastard Schlupp battering. Have we always got have one player we all call a shit ****? I mean when it was Alan Rogers I could half understand it but Schlupp? ****ing leave him alone. Hes an academy  product who tries his balls off and helped us go up and win the league. He scored a screamer v Oxford, played great v Barça and shame he got injured or would have started the season better. How about supporting players who play for the club instead of slagging them off.
