Charl91 Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Kasper Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez King Drinkwater Gray Okazaki Slimani Gray deserves a start. As does Okazaki. Vardy and Albrighton not really deserving of a place at the moment. Albrighton works hard defensively, but his passing is letting him down at the moment. Vardy just isn't playing well currrently. Least this way, Gray and Mahrez can marauder down the wings, and plonk the ball onto Slimani's head. Or they can both cut inside and have a decent shot. Okazaki would give us a little more defensively (especially if we're dropping Albrighton), and a bit more fluidity to our passing. Hopefully, this way we could play it on the ground a little more, rather than the 9,999 unsuccessful balls over the top.

foxes21 Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Nobody think Ulloa might be useful for this one, especially defending set pieces? Him up top with either Musa/Vardy

Bring Vardy off the bench for Slimani late, and throw Ulloa or Musa on for Shinji. I would still rather see a 3-5-2, however.

Ted Maul Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 I would be tempted to bring Ulloa in, and stick him in that space on the near post which we don't seem to be able to defend at corners. Plus he looked sharp yesterday. As did Okazaki- they really injected some energy into the final third when they came on.

I can see the logic, but personally think Slimani's too good not to play (as long as we play to his strengths). Plus Vardy needs more rest, having played most of sat and tuesday.
Gazza M Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Big match for us. We need that result in the league to get confidence moving in the right direction. I can see Claudio naming an unchanged team if fitness and injuries allow. Only change I could see would be Amartey in for King or maybe Gray getting a start for Albrighton.

RowlattsFox Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Palace strong at set pieces and with benteke have a real threat. Slimani will help with height but needs to be careful with his grabbing. Albrighton definitely needs resting, hopefully will be Gray and not Schlupp. Morgan was pretty much injured all game last night so he may get a rest.
the fox Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Kasper Simpson Wes Huth Fuchs Amartey Drinkwater. . King Mahrez Vardy/okazaki Slimani We have enough players to cover the winges. Two strikers. A playmaker in the hole . we can overrun the midfielde and get a proper build-up play. This is the right one no doubt

Callabinho Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Claudio will name the same side, possibly one change in Amartey...this is a real test for us. Palace when on form are a handful, and Benteke is just the kind of striker likely to punish us if we make any stupid mistakes. I think this is the type of game which may really show the 4-4-2 up, a team more on our level but carry a nasty sting if you let them. Play like we did yesterday and we will get stung, badly. I think a draw is the best we can hope for from this one.

They have bought well in the summer. this was tight last October and is likely to be the same again sat. Decided by a defensive error as I recall. (And some decisive action by Riyad and Jamie to exploit it)
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Must win just to ease the tension and pressure before the Spurs game. Kasper simpson morgan huth fuchs amartey drinkwater king mahrez slimani vardy i think we will play 442 though. The problem with the above formation is Simpson who I think is our most inform defender is not as good going forward so it wouldn't work as well. 4-4-2 kasper simpson morgan huth fuchs mahrez amartey drinkwater gray vardy slimani ayers need to hit form in the league. That's all.
Wymsey Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Fairly sure Pardew in the past has sounded quite negative towards Leicester. He's probably annoyed by our success and reckon he'll give this a great go. This could be a banana slip if Leicester aren't careful.

Are you being serious? Two full backs who can't defend and Grey who might stick to his allotted positional and tackle occasionally.
jammie82uk Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Stat time Leicester won both meetings against Crystal Palace last season in the Premier League by a 1-0 scoreline. Jamie Vardy scored the winner in October 2015 while Riyad Mahrez's goal in March 2016 was enough for victory. Prior to last season, Palace had won four of their previous six Premier League games against the Foxes (D1 L1). Christian Benteke scored the only goal of the game for Liverpool in December 2015 against Leicester, in what proved to be one of three league defeats for Claudio Ranieri's side last season. Palace have won two of their last three league games against the reigning Premier League champions, winning 2-1 v Man City in April 2015 and 2-1 v Chelsea in August 2015. The Foxes are unbeaten in their last 19 home Premier League games (W12 D7), the longest unbeaten run on home soil in the top-flight since Chelsea's 21 game streak which ended in August 2015. No Premier League side has finished inside the top four having taken eight points from their first eight games as Leicester have done this season. If the Foxes lose here, it will be the lowest total from a defending champion since Leeds United in 1974/75 (also 8 - assuming 3pts for a win). Jason Puncheon has created 10 chances for Christian Benteke this season, more than any player has for a teammate, with the favour being returned just once. Andros Townsend has had more shots from outside the box than any other player this season in the Premier League (22). Jamie Vardy has scored just twice this season in the league - he had found the net seven times in his opening eight games in 2015/16.

I am seeing 7 players that can defend, and getting both of main current creative players in Gray and Mahrez on the pitch. Personally want to start giving our younger players a chance.
