Wymsey Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 3-2 Mahrez Vardy Albrighton These aren't pushovers, can be like us going forward.
Foxxed Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Are Palace any good? Mendy's still broken I take it? Will King keep his place, or is it worthwhile giving the 21 year old more time to develop?
AyewJoking Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 3 points would ease the tension amartey back in, gray for albrighton. 2-1 leicester

chicagofox Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 If Morgan goes with his no-marking policy again Benteke could have an enjoyable day.

Well we haven't conceded in the previous three home games Amartey started with Drinkwater, so I'd bring him back. I've never been convinced of the Drinkwater/King partnership and tonight doesn't change that, we struggled through bypassing midfield for most of the match.
Drew Peacock Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Is there extra security being put in place to protect the flags at the back of the Kop and are spotters being put in place to find any of the south London ISIS tribute act in our end?
FireFox Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 What I would like to see: Kasper Simpson - Hernandez - Huth - Fuchs Mahrez - Drinky - Kingy - Albrighton Okazaki - Slimani

Captain... Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Some serious shifts put in tonight, Vardy, Drinky, King, Albrighton gave it everything, may be wise to give a couple of them a game off and make some changes, tactically I would start Okazaki, Slimani might not get much joy against Delaney and Dann, and trying to play over them will be too easy to mop up. Keep it on the ground. Morgan looked like he had a knock early on today, Kingy looked like he picked up a knock at the end, may be time to use Hernandez at CB Amartey back in if King has a knock. Maybe even look at a formation change.
Munshi Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Same team as tonight, let's get some consistency back
lcfcdamo Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 People really putting Albrighton in there team amazing how many poor games can he have
UPinCarolina Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 I know that everyone wants to play a 4-4-2, but I'm not convinced that a 3-5-2 won't be our best option moving forward.
sylofox Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 wining this one could be so easy. We tell the players we are playing CP Londinium and it's a CL game. Job done 3pts in the bag.

I thought he was pretty awful tonight. He seems to be rushing everything at the moment, as in, he gets it and without even looking, launches high balls to no one. I would have Gray in for him from the start but he doesn't cover as well defensively. I wish Kaputska had played more by now, and then we might have a more like for like change. Gray for me though still, or at very least, he plays a large part of the game as I really do think he is a top player and he needs to be playing more, especially as we have been pretty poor recently!
Russell sprout Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 There seems to be a big devide in opinion regarding albrighton, for me,like Robbie savage did,he works his socks off for the team, and is more technically gifted, lets remember that when he came into the team a few years back,he was instrumental in keeping us up,aswell as winning the league with us, i think it's unfair on a player who, although can make mistakes, always gives 100% imo

I'd give someone else a crack, although there's no guarantee that they will fare any better.

Albrighton was anything but technically gifted against Copenhagen. He put in one decent cross (for the offside goal) and everything else he did with the ball was awful. Yes he undoubtedly puts in the effort and puts in a shift but he's been awful this season with the ball. I don't understand what Vardy, Morgan, and to a lesser extent Albrighton have to do to be dropped. I'm all for showing faith in players but you have to draw the line somewhere.
Mezeker Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 1-1 I dont think we have the capacity to score more than 2 goals in this one. One goal being far more likely than 2. They will score for sure.
Vacamion Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 The dream: City rediscover their Premier League mojo, Vardy scores one of those counterattacking goals, Mahrez bamboozles defenders and we have one of those passages of play like against Liverpool at home last season where we stroke the ball around like Barça, except this time we score. We keep a clean sheet. Huth doesn't get booked. No more mention of hoofball in the match thread. The nightmare: We concede a corner straight from the kickoff and then concede a goal from that corner, Wes Morgan is still looking for his man when Palace are back in their own half for the re-start. Vardy alternates between not chasing anything and pointing and shouting at team mates. King gets another shot, but this time pulls off the bandages and disappears. Kasper serves up an after the Lord Mayors show howler, but at least he kicks the post in frustration. Marc Albrighton does not deliver a single telling cross. Foxestalk goes nuclear. The reality? I think a hard fought draw.
m4DD0gg Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Back to square one. Although i suspect a draw. Cant grapple in the prem like in our league 1 champions league group.
