Palaces defence should gobble up our terrible long balls. You've got to fancy them to score as couple as well. Benteke must be looking forward to this one.

Not sure what to think of this one. I think Ranieri will put out the same side again as last night with more late subs.

Zaha and Townsend will give us no end of problems and I expect we will concede a lot of corners. Because of this, I don't know what team I would want.

We can't play two small forwards if this hopeless long ball thing still persists. I almost want Ranieri to ban our defenders from doing it because all it does is invite pressure. I'm a bit concerned we resort to it 9.5/10 times and teams like Palace will have an easy afternoon because like everyone else, they will drop back and not allow it.

Never like playing Palace. 1-1 - Benteke with theirs and one from Slimani.

Performance like recent games, with lacking quality and composure, another hammering could be on the cards.

Palace are a decent side, going 0-3, post champions league shocker

We played poorly yesterday despite the win, play hoofball like that again and we'll get done 0-2 or 0-3.

Play quick counter attacking football on the floor and I'd fancy us to take it 2-0.

Unfortunately the former is more likely to happen right now and there goes our unbeaten home record.

They lost at home to West Ham last game, so hopefully they're about to embark on another Pardew losing streak. Decent side, but we'll beat them if we turn up. Big if, at the minute though.

We do seem to have a knack of not conceding home goals this season, despite not playing brilliantly.

If we do win we will be around 10th, 3 of the hardest away games out of the way, with a 100% record in the CL- that's a decent start, in my opinion.

Dann will have a field day if we play continuous long balls. Quite happy to play 4-4-2 bit would like us to mix it up a bit. Would like to see Gray start and give Albrighton a rest. Don't think Albrighton has been particularly bad but with the way Gray has started and his form with England we should be nurturing his game whenever we can.

Kasper

Simpson      Huth      Morgan     Fuchs

Gray      Drinky      Amartey        Mahrez

Vardy/Okazaki

                  Slimani

Feel like Okazaki is the missing link in our Prem form so wouldn't mind seeing him on the pitch a bit more. Any 2 of Vardy Okazaki and Slimani. Feel bad for Musa. Want to see him get more pitch time also.

Kasper

Hernandez       Morgan      Huth

Albrighton                Drinky                 Amartey           Schluup

Mahrez                                 Musa

Vardy/Slimani

This would be lethal. Would have Fuchs over Schluup if he proved to be a capable wingback.

Hard to say what will happen in this one. Palace were on a decent run but floundered at home against West Ham.

Will go for a win, but we need to up our game. I didn't think the performance against Copenhagen was all that great and think we'll need to be better than that. I'd like to see some rotation with Okazaki coming into the team for this one.

Have to agree with this. I thought he was pretty awful tonight. He seems to be rushing everything at the moment, as in, he gets it and without even looking, launches high balls to no one. I would have Gray in for him from the start but he doesn't cover as well defensively. I wish Kaputska had played more by now, and then we might have a more like for like change. Gray for me though still, or at very least, he plays a large part of the game as I really do think he is a top player and he needs to be playing more, especially as we have been pretty poor recently!

Couldn't agree more just can't understand why he aint starting games to be honest

we play hoof ball coz there is no "out ball" - we need shinji and we need movement from the strikers and wingers,,,coming short ...going long... making diagonal runs...

But thats the thing our defensive Morgan huth and Simpson are not good on the ball and everytime they get it panic and thing huff it we need a passing centre back alongside huth or Morgan and a good on the ball right back and a good technicaly gifted cm alongside drinkwater then the long balls would stop

Perhaps if we play the Champions League music at the start our lads will get confused and actually turn up.

This will be a tough match and one we really need to win. Already a 6 pointer in my opinion.

4-4-1-1:

Kasper, Simpson, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs, Gray, Drinkwater, James, Kaputska, Ulloa, Musa

I'd like to see some rotation to keep everyone fresh. Would love to have Okazaki in there, but I don't think this is the right game. He'd be more useful at Spurs away.

However, Ulloa is great at defending set pieces which is Palace's main threat. Also he could be a decent partner for Musa. He holds the ball well, gets flick ons, tracks back and, scores goals. Very underrated.
