I think this might be our best performance (entertainment wise at least) since Man City away. From 25 mins or so, we absolutely dominated the game, threatened in different ways and saw three players get on the board.

Am loving Simpson, I think he's been outstanding and is building an attacking element to his game (despite Mahrez's ongoing lack of support). King had a stormer, perhaps because he wasn't being asked to imitate Kante, and Schmeichel again was brilliant.

MOTM for me though was Shinji. Feared for him after 2 minutes, but what a contribution. Chased everything, won 50/50s, great little flicks and, unbelievably, finished like a footballer! So pleased he got his chance after looking great early season, and even more that he took it.

Great game!

Thought it was closer than the scoreline suggested. We were great going forward but they also had a lot of chances to score from. Deserved win though.

I wonder what eleven we'll put out next week?

King and drinky are good midfield but against spurs I think we will need more.

Vardy okazaki slimani give us great options up front.

Wingers including musa , albrighton, mahrez and gray are all great options and Jeff from the bench can add something.  Worrying that gray isn't getting a look in

You can rest easy, he shinji'd the shot into the turf and skimmed it in.

Shinji is the key - for me and I hate to say, Vardy has caused the team to go long as he is always waiting on the shoulder for that ball over the top - i acknowledge that's his game - but we did it a lot on Tuesday. I know we did it a lot last year but I think his work rate and desire to run down a lost cause has changed. Good decision to leave him out and change the approach. I personally think albrighton has done well this year in some games but again sometimes, despite his work rate, his end product is missing. Obviously both are still a major part of this team but shows we have a bit of depth. King has done well - one thing he brings is calmness and experience - wasn't afraid to commit a foul when needed and rarely wastes the ball.

I agree with this Rob and your summary report.

It is not Vardy's fault for the over-the-top balls. That was due to lack of a quality attacking midfielder, which is why the incorporation of Okazaki seems to compensate a bit and give a little more link-up play.

That was better!

Still not top notch, but very good and better! I'll take that!!

Everyone played well, and it paid off!

Think i'd start that team next week!

Needed that performance. What a brilliant day aswell, fans were up for it and it's the best ive seen us play in a long time to be honest. Every starter deserves to keep their place. Great day

Some of said Shinji needs to be playing, weeks ago.

Very very underrated player for the club.

Did Fuchs do scissors/paper/stone with Shinji after he scored???? LOL!!!

Thought we played well but Palace had some decent chances too. Zaha looks frightening sometimes butcwe dealt well with him. Still not sure about the Slimani + other combo yet. Musa I felt was poor barring his goal but hope that gets him going. Still aren't overly impressed with Amarthey. Shinji's is just brilliant and you have to love him. Kingys done a good solid job coming in. Good decision by the Boss to drop Vards n Albrighton. All in all a good game and great result. Happy days

Feared for us first 20 minutes, very sluggish and palace looked the better side, then thankfully we remembered how to play football.

Nice to little signs of the good leicester today,  some nice passages of play, especially second half.

If bringing in Okazaki in for vardy stops the horrible aimless long ball, I can handle that, Okazaki isn't a massive goal threat, but links play better than vardy.

Will need to start playing better earlier against spurs, but this is the first time this season, I feel the performance levels are starting to get there.

Ranieri refered to the formation as 4231....

And the difference between 4-4-1-1, 4-2-3-1 and 4-5-1 is what exactly?...

Answer: They are the same formation, but at different phases of the game. I.e. When we have the ball and when we are on the attack, and where the ball is on the pitch at a given time. 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 are different again though (different to 4-4-1-1 / 4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1 that is)

The important thing about bringing Shinji in for Vardy today, was it gave Palace something else to think about.

The ball over the top to Vardy had finally become too predictable. Teams had sussed it.

Now we've shown we can pass the ball through the middle again, we can mix it up. The long ball to Vardy WILL work again in some games. But not every game.

Despite a shaky spell early doors Id say it was the best we have played all season.

I again put part of this to how solid we are looking with Kingy in midfield instead of Amartey. I cant explain why but we just seem more solid. DD seems happier to be playing with Kingy as the passing has improved and as a unit we just look a lot more solid. DD was again absolutely outstanding whilst the defense looked decent as well.

Plaudits to CR as I thought Gray should be in on the left if Albrighton was dropped and Oka coming back in a team with Musa and Slimani seemed a little off balance IMO but any doubts I had were soon squashed as we played some lovely balance football, defend well, ran well and both players he bought in scored goals whilst Fuch did what he can with that beautiful left foot and was creative offensively including that superb goal.

Bring on the Spurs! (Where coming for you Leicester my ass LOL)
