Great win today, important 3pts and just what we needed. Nice for the two who came into the side Musa & Okazaki, to get on the scoresheet - Good tactical work from Ranieri there. I think today illustrated just how key Okazaki is to our side, we've said it before. He definitely needs to be implemented regularly in the XI for me, as he demonstrated again today his excellent link up play between the forward line and midfield, his attacking/defensive work rate and his energy, and of course netting today.

Schmeichel, Simpson, Fuchs, King, Mahrez, Musa and Okazaki all stand out performers. Although that could probably go for the whole side, a very pleasing result and overall team performance. Kasper made some superb saves again today, he's in excellent form for us. Some way for Fuchs to score his first goal for the club, especially straight after signing a contract extension. Magnificent strike.

Palace are a good side and that was proven today, they started the game well and were on the front foot in certain stages of the game. They were probably a little unlucky to concede three goals, but we were very good today. Their fans were some of the better lot to come to our place, numbers and noise.

Speaking of Okazaki, it should be Slimani/Okazaki forward line in the coming weeks. Definitely against Tottenham next week.

It would also make Vardy more hungry and a different dilemma for oppositions.

Two things;

1) I hope that Palace fan enjoys his stadium ban for throwing his flare into the family stand.

2) Some of you lot need to appreciate that it's a public place. Someone let off one of the worst smelling farts i've ever had the misfortune of smelling at half time in K1. You know who you are.

To think we may get to have Adrien Silva as an option come the new year....

Secure a last 16 place in the CL and keep ourselves in for a European spot in the league then we would remain an attractive proposition. And should look to strengthen further

Apologies, it was down to some dodgy Prussian sausages.

And the difference between 4-4-1-1, 4-2-3-1 and 4-5-1 is what exactly?...

Answer: They are the same formation, but at different phases of the game. I.e. When we have the ball and when we are on the attack, and where the ball is on the pitch at a given time. 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 are different again though (different to 4-4-1-1 / 4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1 that is)

How many people would post that? I count for a living and that's baffled me.

Very entertaining game which I thought we had slightly the better of - a 3 goal margin certainly would have flattered us.

King and Okazaki were excellent; Shinji is such a clever player and we look so much better with somebody dropping off and linking the attack with the midfield.

Not surprised we won, I said we would. Although I had 2-1

HOWEVER..... now we have next week. I hope we can then show what we've learnt in terms of how to play, against a good side, away from home. I'm hoping we don't play Amartey in a 442, cos he's a fookin liability in that formation.

Its going to be away from home where success or failure lies for LCFC this season. I want to see a real improvement against Spurs.

Today, brilliant,...but it was always going to be Fortress KP this season, so I'm not surprised.

I'm still laughing at point two. (It wasn't me btw). Further to outbreaks of foul-smelling wind there are some folk down there whose body odour would wilt flowers in an instant.

I don't mean on today's performance.

I mean overall since he started his career here. I think he will come good eventually, but doesn't look a world beater like "he who should not be named'!!!

Said we'd win. We won. Not a new dawn yet I'm afraid, more a faint ray of light glinting through the clouds.

New dawns fade anyway.

Nice Joy Division reference.

Shinji is love, Shinji is life

Got to love Shinji, sometimes he plays like bambi on ice, but because he acts like an attacking midfielder for us, we have 5 across midfield providing the numbers to attack and defend far better then with Vardy/Slim

You can't objectively assess his individual performances. It's just a fact we are better when he plays.

Love the geezer anyway so not bothered

That wasn't easy for sure, we looked so poor in the first twenty minutes. Palace were cutting through easily and probably should have been a goal up. However things turned round and the longer the game went on the more confident we looked. Musa was struggling for about that first half an hour, soon as the goal went in his performance changed completely. Okazaki really look good and needs start again next week against Tottenham. Slimani I wouldn't say had his best game but I thought the pair of them formed a bit partnership up front than Slimani and Vardy. Vardy I thought looked better coming late on, really looked hungry and gave something for opposition to worry about, wise move by Claudio to bench him I think. Fuchs what a goal!

Palace did look a decent outfit and to be fair another week we would have struggled against these. I thought Benteke and Zaha looked a huge threat! Benteke was one player I wanted us to sign in the summer window.
