Leicester City star Shinji Okazaki just quietly equalled a Premier League record

I used to think the little french guy made the difference

But someone who cares and is proud to run his socks off for the Team made the difference today.

He got 90 minutes and record equalling goal as well................. Shinji Cares    :worship::worship::worship:

I don't even care Shinji scored. And I won't be that bothered if he scores the same amount as last season. His maniac running in the centre breaks down their build-up before they can move it directly towards Morgan and Huth. He's a smiling, grinning maniac, the worst kind of maniac. And he's ours. Use him even more effectively than last season and we could be contending with the bigger clubs again.

Atmosphere sounded good on radio, didn't hear much of Palace fans though?

When we went up 3, the "Champions of England" chant sounded like it was going to break out of my television.

Enjoyed the game, very open and both sides could've had more, Schmeichel was excellent today. Our finishing won the game, three excellently-taken goals (Shinji didn't have a huge amount to aim at).

Today wasn't perfect by any means but it shows that commitment to defend properly at set-pieces, to block shots, to pass the ball and try and break with it instead of playing the same ball every time can work. Okazaki had a tremendous game, his touch was superb and his link-up play similar. King allowed us to keep the ball better and move it around and as said before, Schmeichel was alert to virtually everything.

The week off will do us good because they put a shift in today- no complaints about the attitude at all.

Two things;

1) I hope that Palace fan enjoys his stadium ban for throwing his flare into the family stand.

2) Some of you lot need to appreciate that it's a public place. Someone let off one of the worst smelling farts i've ever had the misfortune of smelling at half time in K1. You know who you are.

Great match today. Your second comment made me laugh, pretty the kid who sits nezt to me in sk4 must eat rotten eggs before each match and lets off some right stinkers.

****ing brilliant performance. Even sweeter after listening to the cock of a palace fan following me to the ground with his scientific assessment of our 'lucky season'.

We were superb today, it's the first time this season where everyone has worked together like last season...and most of it was down to our little number 20.

Possibly one of the best individual performances I've ever seen....keep Bergkamps flick, Ruuds hat-trick or Pressmans acrobatics, Shinji gave everything today and was class whilst doing it, he covers the ground that the ocean doesn't.....his link up play was superb, retrieval of the ball world class and finish that of a top poacher....he was stunningly good today....any young person wanting to be a striker today should pay close attention.....

Don't think there was a single yellow card in the game was there?

The game was played in a decent spirit but the referee was outstanding I thought - moss and Dean could do worse than watch how the job should be done properly

I think this was the 1st time shinji has started and finished a premier league game,

anyone able to confirm this???

Second, I believe. He finished one last year, I think against Newcastle? I'm not certain who it was.

At last a game where Mahrez had got support and it all comes down to the recall of Okazaki.

His presence and workrate gives us a much better balance .

It's going to be a brave man to drop Okazaki after today...

Would drop Slimani for Spurs and play Vardy with Shinji.

We have a good variety of options in attack now, keeps the opposition guessing before kick off what style we will play..instead of playing the long ball over the top for Vardy every game.

Thought DD really looks the business...there is no way he will be left out of the England set up now surely..just wish he would improve his shooting

So, why didn't it work against Liverpool then? That was the first beating we suffered. Is it the strength of the opposition? Just trying to figure it out.

Tactics were a big improvement today. We worked the ball up the pitch and looked far more fluid. Personnel made a difference, but having depth and variety meant we could dispense with the hoof ball.

Absolutely! While it is understandable for each of us to root for a specific player, today it was more the formation and the tactic that produced the beautiful game. No 4-4-2, no hoofing and most importantly allowing Mahrez to roam across the field and use his creative genius (see how he attracts 2-3 players every time he has the ball, thus freeing up his teammates). Save for 2-3 players, the team has to be commended for a very good showing.

We Collectivly didn't turn up against Liverpool, I believe we had one eye on the trip to Bruge and took our way of the ball massively.

We were poor throughout the team that day.

Three huge points and a decent display too. Shame Riyad didn't crown it when he missed that late sitter. Like the other three scorers, he could have done with that goal as a confidence-booster.

No weak performers, everyone contributed. And Claudio got his selection right, dropping our two worst players of late - Albrighton and Vardy - and having his faith repaid by those he brought in to replace them. Okazaki did not let that early miss get him down and gave us real balance - as he did last season - with his energy and industry. And, blow me, he actually scored a goal that hit the back of the net! Still like to see him stay on his feet more, though...

King covered the ground well and broke up Palace's play with his reading of the game but man to man he remains lightweight and loses most fifty-fifty challenges. We still need to buy a quality midfield partner for the imperious Drinkwater in January.

i'd also like to see better technique and control from a striker who cost 30 million quid (or thereabouts) but Slimani has the Leicester work ethic, which is crucial, and he can't half head a ball (even if his latest effort went just wide).

Little gripes from this perfectionist, but like everyone else, really pleased with the result and improved performance. And what a goal from Fuchs! His smile is better even than Shinji's!

Bring on Spurs....

Unfortunately it wasn't just idiots in the away end, friends of mine who were in the away end were pelted with coins throughout the game.

They were not pelted with coins at all. They were generous donations towards their bus fare home. lollollol

Great to see them with some of their mojo back. Kasper, Shinji, Drinky, Mahrez, Musa (eventually)!

Andy King & Shinji perhaps the missing links? We looked so much more balanced and connected. Didn't have to play the revolting hoofball all the time.

Still look somewhat fragile in defence at times, particularly set pieces. Gray didn't exactly cover himself in glory when he came on but didn't really have enough time. The substitutions seemed to cause a loss of concentration.

All in all a good days work. Here's hoping we can build on this and end up in a respectable PL position.
