That was the first enjoyable league match of the season, dodgy for short periods but overall tremendous. Fuchs gets his goal at last, and what a strike it was. Musa was brilliant, MOTM for me. COYB

Come off it mate.

Their were here some very good performances, but goal aside Musa was not one of them. Up to his goal he was abject.

Hopeful this game will give him confidence

Much improved. Amartey though...  he's one of them players that could do with going out on loan really,  not ready for 1st team football with us.

He was sloppy when he came on but he's been fine against teams of their calibre so far.

Much improved performance today, Okazaki making all the difference again dropping deep and linking the lines. King had a great second half as well.

Nice to see us looking more like last year.

Great performance. Dropping Vardy and Albrighton was a great move by Ranieri. We seemed to stop the hoofs, keep the ball on the ground and made a ton of chances. Albrighton and Vardy seem to encourage the long ball tactic which worked well last season but not this one.

Thought King was really good again with Drinkwater. I'm not sure about starting them in a two next week, but at home it works nicely.

Musa and Okazaki were awesome.

Defence is shaky still, Benteke had a few free headers and KS saved us a few times

Brilliant game. King was outstanding, and I'm normally his biggest critic. Okazaki shows how important he is to our play style. Nice to see the moose get on the score sheet.

Amartey and Gray though....not so great.

Agree about King. Thought he was OK on Tuesday but was different class today. Drinky still beats him to MOTM for me but very impressed and hope he can play next week!

Very good performance overall. Started pretty badly but from about 30 mins in we dominated. When Palace scored we were also shaky but the game was done and we put a lot of subs on at that point.

Two things stood out for me today. First we actually played football! Great link up play, kept possession well and fashioned chances. Drinky, King, Okazaki, Mahrez all combining well and dominating the middle of the park. Today we didn't just go long, we mixed it up like last year and it worked.

Second point, take a bow Shinji Okazaki! When he plays he links the midfield with our attack. Scored a great goal but ignoring that he provides the structure for our team so we can play. Really impressed with him today.

Well done Claudio on dropping Vardy. He'll come back strong but right now he's off form. Good to see us using the squad and good to see players coming into the team do well.

Makes me me feel a lot more positive. Another tough game at Spurs next but after that we have kinder fixtures. If we play like this, we will move up the table!

We've been good since the Thai king popped his clogs.

I think you may have put your finger on it.  With Vardy's uncanny ability of the breakout goal this team has been sending the ball to him, to deleterious effects.  Without him they feel the need to build it up.  Perhaps that was the reason for the changes by Ranieri.

After the first 15 minutes it looked like it might be another one of those days but then we started keeping the ball on the floor and creating chances. We completely bossed it in the middle of the park and the energy of Okazaki and Musa was superb. Riyad looked a lot more involved today and should've scored. The defence didn't look as bad but still ropey.

All in all a good win and a good week for us, hopefully we hit the ground running now

I saw him put a lot of good tackles in, and he put himself about more than Albrighton does. Plus we can't give it to Drinky every week!

Looked like we had our "Team first" ethic on show today

Slim, Oka, Mahrez and Musa all tracked back picked up loose balls and generally played for the team.

Defence looked relatively solid and although a few moments from corners, in open play looked the defence of old, constant talking and blocking shots hitting the target.

Schmeichal also looks like he has picked his form up last few matches.

I thought Vardy would come on and chase everything down and track back, he didn't.

Looked like he is holding back, is Ranieri trying to change Vardys play? If he is, it's nullifying everything that's good/raw about his game.

Somethings missing with him so far, looks a shadow of the player he was last season, and isn't doing what we know he can and seen week in week out last season.

Musa talking about himself in the third person in his interview. Always a sure fire indicator of a genius in the making.

Kasper having a sensational time at the moment...

We need to play like we did in the second half. The whole team suddenly started running around like madmen and created loads of chances.

Then they did it all again backwards, that's quality for you!

Not so doom and gloom afterall is it?

3 wins in 3 in Champions League, Hull aside winning the games we should be winning in the Prem.

All of this without Mendy. Thoroughly believe Mendy is set to continue the trend for new central midfiielders replacing the outgoing most influential player. Cambiasso to Kante, Kante to Mendy.

Our fixtures through to the new year should see us rack up the points now.

That second half up until the last 10 was like last season. Good pressing and nice football

I'm having all of this negativity towards Amartey.  The guy was on the field for 5 or 6 mins today.

And how does one player (King) playing well prove that another player (Amartey) isn't ready?  And the best place for him to learn is right here.  Give him a run of games and then take him out of the team.  He isn't ready to carry the midfield for a whole season but he showed in the run of the games that he did have that he can be very good in that position.  Yes he had poor performances but they were in matches where the whole team were poor.  He also had some MOTM performances.

I love how the default cure for almost everyone on here is to send a player out on loan.  We would gain nothing from sending Amartey on loan.

Great performance, it was nice to see us compete again and show real fight.

King and Drinkwater has to be the pairing going forwards.

Special note to Michael Oliver today who I thought had a great game, showed real good man management throughout. Fantastic advantage for Shinjis goal too.

Shinji is the vital piece of the jig saw

He comes short to give cms an option....he flicks it and brings mahrez into the game more.

Today mahrez mich more involved... that was voz of shinji

First half was poor.  Second half was better.  Disappointed in King, there attack on 83 mins, King made a half hearted attempt and let the attacker go forward and nearly score a goal.  He was abject in first half but better in second.

Overall, the scoreline aside. I thought palace were on par, we were good innpsells, and so were they.  Second half we got some confidence from Musa goal, and drinky pushed forward, allowing us to create more
